Wasn’t too bad! We’re in North Carolina so it was high 50s, but definitely could’ve used a little more sunshine.

Do you go out of North or South topsail inlet when you head out. My mom lives down there and Im coming down mid june with my boat and plan to go offshore to some reefs ive marked. Just curious which inlet is easier to get out of.

I go out of New River (North side). Neither are “good” per sae, but I know that inlet like the back of my hand. I head further north/east of the last cans, there’s a shot out without shoaling. This link here will show you latest surveys of inlets here www.saw.usace.army.mil/Missions/Navigation/Hydrographic-Surveys/Inlets-Crossings/

@@TopsailFishing Thanks for the great info. I will probably be using the south topsail inlet as it’s closer. I’ve watched a bunch of boats go out but it will be my first time. I wish they had a jetty system but it is what it is.

Thanks for watching! Those are primarily Johnny Jigs. Johnny is a great guy to watch on KZfaq if you want to get into slow pitch jigging, great resource for learning everything from jig selection to rods and reels, setting up the jig, etc. The one in particular the albie and almaco hit was a 80g ridged pink/silver micro jig from there.
