Thanks for taking the time to show that people can test parts to make sure that they are not throwing parts at a problem.

Thank you for the video! We recently had some work done on our truck and the heat wasn't working when we got it back. We checked behind the glove box and this piece was unplugged. Plugged it back in and we're good to go. Thank you again.

Thanks for the video, very helpful and solved my problem. I had a 1998 ford van that didn't run so I took the part off that one and put in my 2013 ford van.

I had to change mine on a 2004 ford explorer WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUT. had to take the center console out and the bottom of the dash some said to cut part of the dash to get to the screws but I got her and opps forgot to put one screw back in. oh well traded her in for my 2010 f-150 lol

Man you're lucky if that's your blend door actuator because on my 2011 I was told that 90 percent of my dash has to come out to get to my actuator and the blend door. Ford knows that these things are made cheap and they fail in no time and yet they continue to use this crap. This has got to stop because a $20 to $40 part sometimes cost $900.00-$1500 to tear out the dash to pull out that part. Good luck with your rig buddy.

That just popped out for you? You didn't have to remove bolts to get it out? I think mine has bolts, including one in the back that's extremely hard to get to.

Its -22 c here in massey ontario. Went shopping and my heater is goin from hot to cold then hot then cold then hot then cold.... hoping its the blend door actuator. Anyone having this issue on the 6.0L

Thanks Fireman 7753! The video showed us everything we needed to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I noticed it appears you replaced your factory stereo with an aftermarket. You mind sharing which one? It looks like it was professionally done - good fit. I’ve been hesitant to make the switch, as the ones I have seen all make a comment about trimming the dash, and the stock stereo won’t go back in one you modify for aftermarket stereos. Curious if that was your experience with what you installed…….
@fireman77532 жыл бұрын
It was a pioneer app radio. I posted a video about it several years ago. Not sure if they even make that stereo anymore. I did not have do do anything special to install it and the factory can go right back in.

It’s an easy fix but didn’t solve my problem. You can check your blend door actuator by simply removing it and leaving it plugged in then changing the heat selector. I’m still getting no heat from defroster. Blows warm to the floor but the defroster shouldn’t need the heater core to produce heat.

Hi Fireman, I just had an alignment, my tires rotated and balanced and shocks replaced on our 2006 F-250 Lariat and when I picked my truck up, the Blower won't blow on the AC? I am a little reluctant to bring it back in to the shop I had the work done at as I was informed after the fact that I paid way too much for what we had done.. I wondered if there is any wiring that they might have dislodged in the wheel well when working on my car that would affect the blower or another component of the AC? Thanks, Gina

Hi there, just looking for videos to help me. I changed my actuator, it was blowing hot I realigned the rod and fit right in but now it’s just blowing cold. I think fuse is ok think it’s the same as blower and that stopped once I removed the fuse. Could the new part be bad? Thanks

Hello fireman. I have a 06 6.0. I've pulled the actuator out, I even separated it and the gears inside were actually turning so I know it has power to it and works to an extent. Do you think it's wise to put it back in and see if it will actually work? I live in a rural area and it's a long drive to town without heat at -40C lol
@fireman77534 жыл бұрын
Its worth a shot. Better than buying a new one if it does work.
@T1mmy2306 жыл бұрын
if I'm not mistaken, once you take out the actuator, the door automatically goes to the hot side... spring loaded maybe -maybe not...or you can manually turn (door) as truck is running to see if there is heat...

I have a 2005 f250 with automatic climate control and my heat is not working at all... So I took that same part out of my truck and went to the part to cause I noticed it was not factory and the previous DUMBA$$ owner put in the module for A/C w/manual control... So needless to say it will not be compatible and the new CORRECT module will be here Tuesday morning... But out of curiosity... What was the voltage on the plug when u checked it just to be on the safe side cause my module is $70.00
