Crazy that Ubisoft have made two PoP titles this year. One is a Metroidvania, and the other is a roguelite game. Gotta say, I'm impressed.

@@flophouseplays Is the Prince not "rogue" in the sense that the new order of power that has taken rulership of the kingdom has simply declared him a target? The city may be in ruins, but the enemy force is at the moment the greatest authorative power and in opposition to the prince and the group he works with.

After looking at the different artstyle, the title feels like they're trying to make it clear its a legally/creatively distinct version of PoP and to not expect it be anything like what audiences are used to.

If you're in the mood for trying another rogue-lite, i heartily recommend 'Dead Estate'. It's been out a little while now but it seems to fly under a lot of peoples radars - one of my fav roguelites tho. Fun weapons, characters & aesthetics - sorta like a cartoony early resident evil vibe, with occasional big titty goth girlfriend lady. Don't let the booba fanservice put you off tho - it isn't compensating for anything, the gameplay is solid af.

I have my essentials for rouguelikes but always down for recommends. Dead cells, hades 1,2 etc but really that blazeblue entropy effect and trinity fusion are up there for me as well

Bolas literally means "balls". But probably not the balls you're thinking of. In some cultures they attach hard balls to chains or rope to use as weapons.

1.0 drops. You approach the true final boss. A familiar riff begins to play. It's a non-vocal cover of I Stand Alone done in the style of this games soundtrack. I'd mark out for it if nothing else.

Yeah, Matt, you'd be amazed to see what wall running would indeed do in 2D. I mean, just play the original java trilogy (I mean the whole Sands trilogy mobile ports by Gameloft) and you can see it for yourself, artstyle in those was so much better though...^^

When's a new Rayman game, Ubisoft? But then again... I'm not sure if I'd want that. They'd just ruin it. (edited) Rayman Legends and Rayman Origins were the last games being made. I must've confused with something else. My apologies.
