Fear, anxiety, disconfort, these are some of the things that you need to overcome if you want to explore the depths. We did just that at dive4life in Siegburg, Germany. The dive center disposes of a 20 meter (66ft) deep pool, with water heated at 26°C (78,8°F).
But make no mistake! Only the proper training will help you avoid serious injuries and might also save your life. During a two-day freediving course, organized by Apnoetauchen-lernen.de, we received our AIDA2 certification and discovered new boundaries we need to overcome if we are to go further on this journey.
Freediving is a taste of space, beneath the waves. It shows you how precious life is and how much we need to cherish every living thing.
