So intellectually dishonest and disingenuous. 1. The stockholder example isn't analogous to the inheritance issue. According to the Mufti's example, if a man owns half the stock of a company, that means that man still owns half the stock even after the loss. And you are trying to compare this to 'Awl I think( which the Mufti sahab didn't properly clarify). But in 'Awl the shares owned by each person itself is changed. Also, the biggest contention of the ex-Muslims isn't even this. What we are asking is that why 'Awl even has to be applied in the first place? Only because Allah's given method of calculation leads to a fraction of more than 1( meaning a person would need more than the inheritance amount left by the deceased to distribute the shares, which isn't possible). 2. Asim bhai was being very dishonest with his presentation. He is comparing apples to oranges. He first said that half or quarter can mean exactly 50% or 25% respectively. He says they can also mean almost 50% or 25%. This is very dishonest. The almost 50% is used when we are casually talking with someone. For example, when I say someone to slice the pizza into two halves, I don't mean that each part should be exactly 50%. It's understood because we aren't using any instrument or anything to precisely cut the pizza into two halves, each measuring 50% of the original pizza. But Asim bhai is using this kind of examples and connecting this with inheritance rules in the Qur'an. When legal documents are written, we expect precise language. Inheritance rules is one such scenario where we expect precise usage of the language, and this is from God, so the expectation of precision will be more here. Asim bhai also gave another example of almost 66.67% being used for two-third. This time he went to the field of medicine. The very fact he was giving an example from medicine should set alarms to anyone who understands how medical research works. In the article he showed, he only picked the relevant portion from it that suited his agenda. But if anyone goes to that article and reads it from the beginning, it will become very clear as to why the article writer uses two-third for 68% or 71%. The article is talking about a general rule that is applicable to various different cases. What the article is saying is that there are different kinds of diabetes cases where the percentages of people is often close to 66.67%. In one case, the percentage is given 68%, in another 71%, and so on. Based on this, medical researchers are finding a general rule that can be applied to these different cases. Since the different percentages average to 66.67%, therefore they have given it the name two-third rule, where obviously two-third means 66.67%. So this example of Asim bhai was extremely dishonest. Even if for the sake of argument we allow the word half used in the Qur'an to mean a spectrum of percentages close to 50%, what are the boundaries of that spectrum? These boundaries will be subjective as they are being determined by humans. I am sorry to say you guys didn't solve this problem at all. Here is what we ex-Muslims have to say about this problem: 1. Why Allah's method leads to sums of the shares being more than the inheritance left by the deceased in some cases? 2. Why Allah didn't give the doctrine of 'Awl in the Qur'an itself? If this was in the Qur'an, then this problem would have never arisen. 3. As Allah has future knowledge, he must have known that this issue will lead to lots of doubts in the future( I personally know some Muslims who have left Islam due to this maths error in the Qur'an). So, why Allah didn't clarify this in the Qur'an? We expect an honest response to the maths issue in the Qur'an, not subterfuge that you both used during the presentation to fool the gullible audience.

suppose a man dies and leaves 100 Rs for his family .. So 2/3 for his daughters = 66.66 + 1/8 for wife =12.5 + 1/6 for Mother =16.66 and 1/6 for father =16.66 .. So out of 100 Rs according to Quran we have distributed 112.48 ... This makes absolute no sense

Quran mathematic errors for example died man have 72 pound 3 daughter. 72*2/3=48 father 72*1/6=12 mother 72*1/6=12 wife 72*1/8= 9 now mathematic total 48+12+12+9=81. . 72=81 Quran mathematic is wrong
