Sometimes it blows my mind that people can't imagine life without fast food chains near them! I have never eaten at McDonalds or another fast food chain in my life. Not having fast food chains in Greenland honestly sounds so much more healthy and you get to support local businesses too which is so much nicer!

Trust me Q, you aren't missing much! McDonalds has terrible, unhealthy food (and once it gets cold it is ABSOLUTELY inedible- you may not have known that since you don't have one there in Greenland) and they usually do not pay their workers very well. I think you're lucky not to have a McDonalds in Greenland. It is especially good for your kids because they won't grow up eating unhealthy food! I love your videos! I have ALWAYS been sooo fascinated by Greenland- especially it's geography and it's people! I've learned so much from your videos!

I am torn on this one. I think it's nice that there is places on earth that have not been conquered yet by American junkfood chains. On the other hand, McDonalds is my dirty secret. I eat healthy on most days and I exercise a lot, so I feel in excellent shape, but Saturday at lunch after the gym I just go eat chicken nuggets and a cheese burger, no way around it, and I love it. After that I'm kinda done with it, but a week later the craving comes back 😂

It's good for you as these fast food chains are awful for one's health. Blessing in disguise really 😄

I have McDonald’s very close but I only eat there sporadically. I crave the fries the most though.

I'm from the U.S. When I go abroad I dont want to see or eat at a McDonald's, etc. I travel to experience a different culture.

You are lucky! I went to two exotic McDonald’s, just to see how different they could be. Moscow has the best milkshakes and it was honestly the best food I had while in Russia. Sad!! The McDonald’s in Kodiak, Alaska had salmon nuggets and I thought they were delicious. Nothing like the chicken ones we have here. Otherwise, I try to avoid it.

It seems to me like an international chain could come in and take the place of one of those local cafés. I'm glad they haven't, though.

I live in the Faroe Islands, its very similar here except we do have one Burger King.

Local hamburger places are more authentic anyway. I don't eat animal anything but would support traditional Greenlandic food over chain fast food any day.

I'm shocked in Nunavut Canada they don't have fast food chain or fast food restaurant like McDonalds, Starbucks and Burger King but yet in Nunavut they have Tim Hortons.
