Greatly appreciate your videos. Always informative and useful information. Our 2019 Outback was recently totaled in an accident and yesterday we drove home in our new 2023 Forester. The wreck was bad but my wife and I walked away with relatively minor injuries. Our Outback kept us safe and that's one reason why we went right back to get another Subaru, only a Forester this time. Thank you Subaru for making such safe vehicles!

We were looking at them starting back in May. We thought about waiting but felt prompted to get serious and visit a dealership. I’m so glad we did. We’ve had our Wilderness Forester 3 weeks now & love it.

I ordered a 2023 Subaru Forester Limited with an exterior color of Ice Silver Metallic and the optional 8 inch navigation infotainment system with heated steering wheel on May 11 2023, and took possession of it on June 22 2023 when it arrived. I am glad I ordered it when I did, and that I got it in about 6 weeks. It's a great car. If you need a car now, go to a dealer, look it over, and take it for a test drive. If you like it, find the right trim level for yourself with the options you want and order one now. Like Alex said in the video, these cars are in high demand and they do sell out fast once they arrive. That was my experience here in NYC. Other notes: If you want a car with a compact disc player, this is the car for you. If you want a car with physical knobs and buttons to control the a/c and radio, this is the car for you. You may not know it, but the industry trend seems to be the elimination of the in dash CD player and physical knobs to control the a/c and radio...The trend is to force the driver to control everything via the Infotainment Center, including the a/c and radio without giving you physical buttons. One last comment: The car has enough power to get you up to highway speed quickly enough. Don't believe the people who say it needs a more powerful engine.

Was waiting the last two months to hear what was coming in '24, hoping for that "5 year cycle" to pay off with some updates. This is minorly disappointing but probably a sign to pull the trigger on the 23s while I can. Thanks as always for the videos!

I'm wonder if the 2024 forester will get the new mono eyesight camera added. I just ordered a new 2024 Forester touring fro Debbie at Bachman, again, and hoping they at least upgrade the camera.

Bought my '23 Forester Premium in April. Traded in my '14 XV Crosstrek Limited. The dealership had none on the lot. Bought one in transit to dealership. Great car! Hi @alexpmo , I've been watching your videos since last year, was considering getting a Forester, didn't get a 2023 thinking 2024 was going to be the redesigned model (5 year cylce); that not being the case though, would you consider to get a 2024 a good idea? isn't it going to look old too soon? should I keep waiting for the redesigned model at winter next year? or if it's a good idea then maybe try and get the 2023 instead of the 2024? Update: No changes whatsoever for the 2024 just a price increase. What should stop me from buying a hybrid Rav4 or a renewed Xtrail? instead of waiting yet another year to see if they make improvements on the Forester

I have a 22 Forester Wilderness. I recently had the tailgate keep peeping and going up and down for about 40 minutes. The car was turned off and locked. Have you heard of this or know what might be happening. My dealership can give me no answers.

Our dealer is finally getting a slew of ‘23s! Even a couple of months back the lot was mostly empty (most of their inventory - all models/trims - was pre-sold so as soon as it arrived, they were picked up).

My wife has the 2023 Forester Premum and really enjoys driving it. I have a 2017 Toyota Rav4, but driving her Forester is such a pleasure. Super outward visibility, and the adaptive headlights are grand. Thanks for the update. My plan has been to wait until October to November and order a Forester Premium for myself. I will be age 71 then and the safety improvements will be much appreciated over the Rav4 I presently own. One question i have. I am a 3 time skin cancer survivor. Can tinted driver and passenger windows come tinted from the factory? I'm sure tint laws vary from state to state, so this might be something to add locally, Thanks again for the information.

What’s with Outback XT dismal mpg. My 2023 gets only 15 mpg in town. A ray of hope: I tried a higher octane gas and it improved 4 mpg! The suggestion didn’t come from Subaru or the dealer.

Alex, thank you for all the information on when the 2023 Subarus will be stopped and the 2024's will start up. My local dealer has no idea at all. I think they just want to dump all the 2023's first. A price increase is just not good. I wish the companies would hold the line at the 2023 prices, but they are looking for that almighty dollar. Thanks again, it is appreciated!

Thanks for the review. I bought a Touring only for the Brown interior. But now that I’m use to all the creature comforts, my next Forester will be another Touring. Mine is Bronze with the Brown interior. Mine has every option except for the cross roof rack, as I never haul anything on top of either one of our Subie’s

I have always leased my Subarus, but if they come out with a hybrid or a plug-in hybrid with a decent amount of battery range, I will definitely purchase.

They really need to bring back the Forester XT. The Forester doesn't necessarily need to be fast, but it and the Outback are just too heavy for the NA 2.5. Flirting with 9 seconds to 60 mph is getting a bit too lethargic imo. Really liked the Forester, but ended up getting the Outback XT for the extra power. Doesn't even need the 2.4t as even a 2.0t would be fine. I believe Japan offers it with a 1.8t. Wilderness is a little better with those lower gear ratios.

Subaru generally makes a big deal about all-new models and releases PR about them months before they are available for sale. They did not do that for 2024 Forester. Not a peep. So although this would the sixth model year of the current configuration, it seems very likely that the 24 will be a carryover from 23 and the MY 25 in 2024 could be the all-new one. And it would not be unprecedented, deviating from the 5-year cycle. Crosstrek was 6 years. Impreza was 7 years. WRX was 7. Ascent is now in year 6.

Aren’t auto dimming mirrors a dealer markup? The Subaru dealers have ordered all the vehicles with 2000 dollars worth of random “options” which you have to buy even if you don’t want.

I thought the 2024 Forester would be newly remodeled at this generation came out in 2019. Then the Outback to be new for 2025 as that generation came out in 2020.

I was told that the 2024 Subaru Forester would be getting the five year makeover and now you tell me that that doesn't happen until 2025?? Thinking of canceling my order for a 2024 Forester Touring w/ $1,700 in options!

This isn’t Forester related, but I had a question about the Crosstrek. I know they canceled the hybrid. Are they expecting an all electric version to come out? I saw there would be some more all electric options for 2025. Do you have an inside scoop on if one of those will be a Crosstrek?

I own 2020. Great vehicle for the price and so far I know it will be hard to replace it with something else. My next vehicle has to be a PHEV with similar AWD capabilities and a minivan. I live in Japan so it might actually happen with newer gen of local minivans :)

RAV4 Hybrid doesn’t have a REAL AWD, it the front wheel slips then the real electric motor will turn the real wheel.

Perhaps a Toyota-inspired Hybrid system - since Toyota has a stake in Subaru.

The 2025 Forester interior will probably be nearly identical to the 2024 Crosstrek.

Meanwhile Ford, Chevy and Jeep can’t sell cars…😂
