Israel has over 3000 Palestinian in detention without charge. Their detention gets renewed every six months. This was happening before Hamas Attack in 2023 which was violation of international law when they took Israeli hostages. The question is why 3000 Palestinian who are detained without charge and not convicted of any crime why aren't considered hostages.

Before this gen0cidw they had at least 9000 palestinians in idf prisons. In the first months they "arrested" 4000+ civillians from the west bank. And so many also abducted from gaza. Btw countless reports of idf lining up civillians and then shootinf them, also threw grenades in room with only women and babies and closed door, went into a school and shot pregnant women and women with babies, shot 4 pregnant women in front of hospital and ran over with bulldozer, ran over patients with a bulldozer, let attack dogs on 4 year olds and so many cases of them exscuting kids and taking selfies...the list goes on.

A lil boy was r@ped by idf with a sharp object in his butt till he gave a confession. A 13yo west bnk girl was gangr@ped so badly by idf soldiers, her whole lower body was ruptured and she died bc of it. Another boy was beaten so bad and refused medical attention he came out after so many years mentally handicapt. Is it that difficult to accurately say "1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals, including 764 civilians, were killed"? These numbers expose that nearly 400 casualties were not civilians; that some meaningful number of casualties were international visitors (mainly to the Re'im music festival). OF COURSE this is not to diminish the scope of the tragedy--simply to point out that inflated numbers (originally stated as "1,400") are not truth and contribute to a bias where Gazan casualties are routinely UNDER-expressed, since it is presumed that unknown thousands (of civilians, primarily) were buried (alive!) during months of bombing in the Strip.

It's worse than that! All media round up to 1,200 for Israel (to make it seem worse), while diminishing the number of Palestinians killed. Of the civilians killed, they don't dare mention that many were killed by the IDF, or the fact that 41 Israeli citizens (the families of those killed) are suing the IDF, the security forces and the Israeli government for killing It's own citizens on the 7th of October! In one Israeli newspaper article, it shows a car park, with 70 burned out cars, that were taken out with Israeli tank shells or from Apache gunship fire. Israel said it would not investigate those Israeli citizens killed (by Israel).

Bernie by a slip of the tongue said 12,000 Israelis were killed on 7/10/23. For the record it was 1,200. Whilst current deaths of Palestinians has reached 30,000 and rising daily. Blame on the resistance for all the deaths has been disputed, as investigations have shown the Israeli IDF firing on their own people with heavy gun fire and helicopter fire. It doesn't negate what happened, but it must be taken in it's full context. Living oppressed in an open air concentration camp, denigrated, humiliated, frustrated, deprived and hopeless. Palestinians live everday of their lives. I would have revolted, I would probably been killed by Israeli army, just for wanting a life that we in the west take for granted. We all pray for peace for both Palestinians and Israelis. Thank you Bernie for standing up for the oppressed, a lone voice in the U. S. government. 🙏 🙏 🙏

That's correct; it was a slip of the tongue when he said 12,000 instead of 1200. However, any loss of life due to violence is too many, regardless of the side. As you pointed out, and sadly with the extreme form of protest by Aaron Bushnell, the Israelis have always had the upper hand. They have the weapons and the financial support of the US and Europe but definitely do not have the moral support of most humans on this planet. I am just wondering the impact of the collective punishment and killing of innocent Palestinian children will have. If Israel was going after the Hamas militants, then it would not have been so bad. But they drop the bombs knowing that there are unarmed civilians that would be killed, and they just do not give a damn. Sadly, all human lives are not considered equal, and that's a provable fact.

I'd argue that it does negate what happened oct 7th. Israel has been practicing apartheid, controlling the food and water supplies, and unlawfully imprisoning Palestinians for decades before the Oct 7th attack. Any nation of people would have attacked their oppressors given the opportunity, and if you deny that, then you're lying to yourself. They would do it again to Bernie. They DNC decides who the candidate is, not the voters. Jamie Harrison, DNC Chairman made it impossible for RFK Jr. to run as a Democrat. Jamie changed the rules so that Kennedy would have to get 80% of the vote to win. That's impossible, so he made the decision to run as an Independent. Because of the games the DNC likes to play, I am no longer a Democrat either. I'm Unaffiliated and it feels good. They just gave secret service to NIkki Haley, but denied it to RFK Jr. The law that presidential candidates can get security was created after the assassination of RFK Jr.'s father Senator Robert Kennedy, but his own son can't get it!!! I know most Americans dont realise it, but United States are complicit in the illegal occupation by Israel of Palestinian territories. By international law, it is prohibited to give assistance to Israel for this. Check out the Namibia case amongst others before the International Court of Justice. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a legal requirement not to assist an illegal occupier. United States are guilty also in this genocide against Palestinians.

If he did, Congress would be obligated under international law to intervene. But he does not mention that. Implications can be made as much through omission as through admission. Feelings that Brits understand that better seem grossly unfounded.
