I can't even tell you how thankful I am, for my relationship with the Lord, my daily time I spend with Elevation Church almost every morning, the ability to share them with friends and family so they can draw closer to the Lord, but this message really spoke to me for a few reasons but the main one is, I have not forgive myself, instead of forgiveness I feel like I should punish myself by letting the pain hold me back in my walk. But today I forgive me.. I acknowledge the damage I did in my life to hurt everyone who just cared about me.And wont let fear or shame hold me back anymore. For 15 years I've been stuck on not being able to forgive someone on how they hurt me during our relationship. Not thinking I would ever be able to do so. I just couldn't let the pain go. But after watching my favorite person. He's words and the way he put it into prespective and explained it in ways ive never looked at it. I am now able to forgive. I realize the pain from my experience may not ever go away but I can forgive him now. And now that I'm able to do that I feel so much better

All my scars from all my life are serving a purpose. My wounds are still healing and becoming scars and I am able to be grateful to God that these wounds & scars help me touch others when I show them my scars. I don't forget & it still hurts but I am using it & ''proving His power " as I strive to keep moving on and I have learned now not to punish myself anymore for what was done to me. Tho I admit it is harder to let go of it, I kno it's all on the cross !

Now I understand that when someone severely offends me or I do the most regrettable thing I could've ever done, I don't have to continue living my life in that pain, even though it may hurt just to remember the thing that happened. This is the first sermon that I ever got to hear by Pastor Furtick!

I have listened to this sermon dozens of times. It has ministered to me over and over and over. Each time, there is something new that helps heal my broken heart. I’ve been wounded long enough! Why would I choose to stay wounded when healing is in His Hands? All my past and all my shame are in the cross. To be free, I’ve got to let go. Put my nails in that cross and trust what Jesus provided. Let Him prove that ALL things work together for those who are called according to His purposes. Even the nails - even Judas - even that - even though I didn’t choose these scars, I’m not going to fake it - I’m not going to live in denial. I’m not going to stay in dysfunction. But I wouldn’t trade my scars for anything. My scars are the proof of His power. Yeah - I got scars. Yeah - I went through it. Yes - nails were driven into me. Yes it was offensive. Yes it was wrong. But NO I won’t stay here. I won’t sacrifice my future on the altar of my past. NO MORE NAILS How long do I want to stay wounded? How long do I want to stay stuck? It happened - I’m not living in denial. It hurts and I have to handle it. I’m not going to live in dysfunction enabling dysfunctional situations while calling it forgiveness. But I’m not going to stay here dead when He is Risen. NO MORE NAILS

BEST sermon I have ever heard on forgiveness and I worked for Billy Graham for 9 years and knew pastors of every denomination and -also non-denominational. If you need to be forgiven if you need to forgive or especially if you are a pastor who teaches on forgiveness please do your congregation a favor and give this a listen! If my first pastor would have known what he said in this sermon it would have saved me years of heart ache! I got saved at Brooklyn Tab. They still teach if you have truly forgiven you will be healed! How destructive! This sermon is so healing and empowering!
