When I taught three sections of ELA in the same grade level, I would grade each section in a different color. That way, I could easily separate the class sets of paper by seeing what color I graded.

Thank you so much for this awesome idea. I have trouble with grading papers in an orderly and timed manner. I teach special education to students with severe disabilities, but I do some worksheets as well. This is so helpful. I don't have to worry about all my papers lying all over the place unorganized.

This is a great system! Love the organization. Do you need a box that big for the things you mentioned: masters and copies, grading, recording and returns? It looks too big, but maybe I'm missing something. The great thing is that I already have everything except for the box. 😊 Thank you for sharing your solutions ❤

Great question! You definitely don’t need a box this big - anything that holds files will work. I just happened to have one of these on hand. I believe Staples makes a slimmer version as well. Sometimes I add a file for each student in the box to help facilitate returning papers. That way, after I grade a worksheet I file it under their name and just hand them back everything in the file on Friday. The system is pretty adaptable for whatever you need.
