Thank you so much for posting this teaching without the music and just your beautiful voice! The musical accompaniments are very lovely however for me, and maybe for others too, I can attend to the words more fully when they are spoke on their own. Deepest gratitude :)

Great work....I prefer without music ...pause and space between words are more important than filling those potential space with music...such teaching needs pure nothing ness to get completely absorbed...

@@realfacts7763 I could appreciate how our provider of amazing talks makes background music light in her last Zen teachings. Usually I find music very disturbing but is seems it all comes down to what and how and she masters that. Nevertheless, in my opinion no music is needed, for less if more for our easy-to-distract minds.

Even Padmasambhava could not escape the sexism of his time, and perpetuated the myth that a woman body is a lower birth. Women should read "Immortal Sisters, Secrets of Taoist Women". Women practice somewhat differently than men. Men often have no clue how that works. It is actually easier for women to be enlightened. Padmasambhava was correct that enlightenment is our true natural state, and so no need to thrive for it. It is often easier for women than men to be at ease and without strive. Woman also have a womb which has a special connection to the Creative.

Agree, well put. Perhaps if PS had been born of a woman instead of a lotus blossom he would have been more hip.

Indeed! Interestingly enough though the Master was reported to have made the follow statement: “The basis for realizing enlightenment is a human body. Male or female-there is no great difference. But if she develops the mind bent on enlightenment, to be a woman is better.” -Guru Padmasambhava

Yes. I do believe femininity is closer to the natural state than masculinity. And yet the feminine does not exist without the masculine to provide contrast. There are pros and cons to anything. But what you truly are is not male or female.

@SamaneriJayasara

The Dharmata is the uncompounded basis of all things or phenomena. In itself it is not a Thing. It is the unborn, unfabricated, alpha purity of all that is. The ground of Being itself.

How much time do you get to make videos as a monastic ? I’m curious 🙂
@SamaneriJayasara
@SamaneriJayasara 3 жыл бұрын
These aren't videos! Neither are they separate from my life or practice as a monastic. They are simply 'me' reading spiritual texts with a microphone in front of me as I read aloud. They unfold within the timeless realm and are a key part of my meditative practice. They also constitute my seva/service or offering to others as part of my spiritual practice. I then just clean the voice, find a pretty picture, some meditative music, and upload!
