@jbmp1390 Maybe in the 50s/60s. Eventually coaches wanted to win enough they disregarded their prejudice. George Karl type were the exception. There's a reason you don't go full And 1 in an NBA game. Quick and decisive movement is far more effective than wasted movement the vast majority of the time. That and a major skill gap is why the best street ballers get curb stomped by NBA players. What does translate is misdirection. Hesi, crossover, no look, behind the back, etc. Things like that have been acceptable as long as a player has the ability to make that work consistently. Magic and Bird both, but especially Magic, were killing the NBA with a quick sleight of hand/misdirection. AI's crossover, Kyrie's entire package basically, Bron, Joker, CP3, Steph does it maybe better than anyone offball but he also gets an isane amount of screens. Skip most definitely had an opportunity. Just wasn't on the level of the all time greats. JWill had moves but he's overrared af. 10/6 career. C-Webb and Peja were way better. I'd take Hedo and Vlade over JWill but that's at least closer.
