Princess Anne is a national treasure and should be given the most cautious of care. I had memory loss after being hit by a car as a pedestrian and tossed in the air like a rag doll. It came back very gradually.

Horses move so quickly. It takes so little to have a mishap. I remember my mom falling off a horse and the horses hoof clipped her head as it trotted away. Mom got up, got back up on the horse and we were riding along and Mom asked if she had fallen off. Because the Princess Royal has had prior head injuries, they would want to observe her for a time to make sure her brain is ok.

She's giving them the sharp side of her tongue. She has had a concussion before and had some memory loss. She is a tough woman she will be back at work before you know it.

She may have a subdural haematoma which is not severe enough for surgery but will require regular assessment and a lengthy convalescence.

She will be ok n get on with things like nothing happened hopefully.

Did you see her diary for this week? She is 73 , Hampshire, Edinburgh back home then Stirling back to Edinburgh then back to Gloucestershire, then Canada. Far too much !

They said her dog was with her. Growing up, if a dog got near our horses feet or tail , the horse would get upset or kick. It probably happened real fast and she got kicked.

Canada will miss her, she is a force.

Because she’s an experienced equestrian tells me this is no accident…..

My favorite part of the day is to walk in the pasture with my horses. Checking the fence line & the wire, picking up things that could lead to an injury for your horse. They get excited to have you join their “family” But there’s a head horse & she’s usually a very smart cookie & not willing to let another horse take her place. So it’s very common for the horses to overstep their bounds & kick up their heals! So what’s a horse person to do? Duck! If you can! About now I imagine PA is bored stiff & eager to get busy! Stay where you are, my dear, PA! Enjoy the mini vacation.( take my advice, I’m older than you!”)🐎❤️🙏🏻

Horses have hard heads and with all the flies about all they have to do is shake vigorously and catch you and you’re out for the count.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the horse for a speedy recovery.

The horses got into a rift and she got kicked in the head by accident. Same thing just happened to my daughter 4 weeks ago. And no. The dog would NOT go after the horses. Dogs and horses cohabitate beautifully.

May the Princess Royale recover safely from her injury. She remains one of my most admired royals. (Why wasn’t there so much publicity when Joe Biden fell and did damage to his face and head? News had him recovered and ready to resume duties before print dried on the newspaper.)
