Joel Morricone is Jesse's secret identity as a journalist. He wrote under this name about himself (as McCree) stopping a robbery in a Ramen-Shop in Hanamura, Japan. Although it is not officially confirmed that Jesse is behind this "Joel Morricoine", many evidences speak for themselves that he actually is it. For example: - "Joel" was Jesse's name before the release of the game - "Morricone" could be a reference to the song writer Ennio Morricone, who made songs like "The Ecstasy of Gold" for the Movie "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly" (in which the main protagonist, Clint Eastwood, is the inspiration to McCree) also Jesse whistles this song in-game. Alrhough it's a very rare encounter. Just look for it here on KZfaq, you'll find it - the self-desciption of Joel Morricone links to McCree as well. Things like "White Hat" (one of McCree's skins is named after that) and "pundit for hire". Jesse's chat with Sombra. He tell's her, that his name isn't "Joel". Sombra is a hacker and knows almost every little secret. Sooooooo... Case closed haha
