I am Raj from Canada 🇨🇦 but I am Sri Lankan. During the civil war i went through a lot and almost died few times. But still I was dying to learn a piano but I was in the forest. Remember those days I was hitting the tree branches and practicing on tree without any instruments. You brought me back to my childhood memories. With God’s grace I have more 15 professional keyboards and a Piano now. I can understand how hard would be for you to leave your home town. Hopefully you will get back home soon. 🙏

This is how I practiced at home the whole 1st year of learning piano because I didn't have one. I was only 7 and I loved the instrument. I continued to study for 12 years and still play it in my free time. Not having the instrument doesn't have to stop you.

I got to be honest here: IT REALLY HIT ME when you said that you had to flee, are stuck in a hotel room close to the border with Mongolia and WITHOUT the possibility to play or practice the PIANO! I ADMIRE your optimism but for me: AI HAVE TO TOUCH EVEN FOR 5 MINUTES DAILY A REAL PIANO. I really really really really hope that somebody in the surroundings where you are LOCKED UP will enable you to use their piano. YOU REALLY DESERVE THAT. Blessings and many warm kisses from a man with a -due to this video- extremely WOUNDED HART...Bye Yllanka(correct me if I spelled your name incorrect!)

Thank you! The good news is that this is an older video: since then we have safely returned home, as the war did not affect our country (which is Moldova, not Mongolia). We work as usual, and things are back to normal at PianoCareerAcademy. I published many new videos since then (including here on KZfaq). Thank you for your support!

Ahh i remember! After finishing my studies now i got a small income, started saving up and got a second hand digital piano😊,..now i wish i had enough to be a member of pianocareeracademy (i dreamed of joining someday ever since i got a random youtube recommendation about it 6-7 years ago)but still your videos are always detailed and helped me a lot😊😊. Thank you for your kind wishes! Everything is ok now 😊. This video was recorded in March 2022, soon after the beginning of the war. Since then we have moved countries, are perfectly safe, and PianoCareerAcademy keeps running successfully 😎.

If your question is serious (and not a joke I do not understand) - then I recommend learning how to play correctly, from scratch, building your ergonomic whole-arm technique in a step-by-step manner :). Then issues like the one you mentioned will never arise.

No, it's not - and let's pray things stay this way! However, when the war started (and we could hear the explosions all the way here in Chisinau), we decided that it's better to be safe than sorry, so we left. After more than a month on the road, we have now returned home, but the situation is still dangerous and unclear as this terrible war continues in Ukraine. If you saw how close Moldova is to the war zone, you would understand why most of us here feel so vulnerable.

@@pianocareer It is crazy you could hear the explosions.I can understand with such an unpredictable situation nobody is safe even in the rest of the EU.I can see in the map how close you are and today i was reading there is something going in in Transnistria, i hope it is only rumours. In Belgium they are giving iodine pills for radiation....just in case. Let's hope and pray that this terrible war will end soon and no more innocent lives will be sacrificed. And I ll also pray for you and your beautiful country.
