My game crashed at the boss fight of yesterday's Abby daily, and since on the PS5 if you close the game the recording is gone, I had no video. Anyways, this run was good, 3rd map was done no-guns but the game somehow ate two of my stuns that I had crafted in the hideout, map 4 was good but If I was fully reloaded at the very end of it, I could have had 30 more points from a multi-kill which would have made it an 810. 5th map is a complete meme, revolver only with 2x shamblers and a bloater 😂 but I got through it. On the boss I threw a stun instead of laying a trap which could have costed me the run. Thank you for watching!

A big problem with holdout is that it doesn’t reward the risk and skill that goes into completing it at all. Especially on 4th and 5th encounters. Should be 200 points for completion and at least 0.5x multiplier. The AI companions on grounded are not nearly intelligent enough to fight for themselves and are a constant burden. If you don’t babysit your buddy he will get killed and the run is over. Not only that, but they also spawn a freaking bloater and shamblers while you also have to take care of other infected running towards you. Take 5 seconds too long in dealing with the bloater and they swarm you like you’re a cashier on Black Friday. And not being able to use long guns? I’m so, so impressed with your holdout today. Yes, Joel took damage but he took less damage than I thought he would lol. But otherwise a great encounter and I’m going to steal the strategy of baiting the bloater with trap mines.

I had the same issue with the game eating stun bombs from the hideout on the mystery. Great run though!

the game doesn't count repeated stuns on an enemy, and stuns that weren't lock-on throws. hence the 2 stuns that didn't count (shambler lock-on which was a repeat stun)

The positive mod "unlock all recipe" enables the stun bomb and overrides your smoke bomb. The count of smoke was back to 3 when you return to the hideout. What a negative effect the "positive" mod offers... lol

Congrats, pretty exciting. Few days ago I was 35th and today I managed top 20 (17th at the moment) I finally was able to do 5 multi kills with the shotgun on the 5th encounter (hunted resort). Usually I panic and something goes wrong 😂 but I'm getting there. Keep it up!

I was just delighted to actually finish this run, never mind get top 20. How on earth did u squeeze 11k out of this board. The holdout was ridiculous

On encounter 3, your double smoke bombs upgrade disappeared. Probably because of the mod

Did the holdout on hard and my GOD I think I took something like 227 damage? Thank god for heal on melee. Was waiting at the edge of my seat to see how you did it, actually insane you didn’t take any damage, that was masterful!

Wow. Maps 4 and 5 were absolute masterpieces. Those double runner spawns in the brewery are something I need to take better advantage of. I didn't know Shamblers in brewery map 4 were RNG. I ended up taking route b anyway. I will never be brave enough to take a map 5 holdout unless i have no other options. It was good enough for my daily goal of whatever your score is minus 2000 points. :) 9k still dropped me in the top 40 so not too upset.

Pretty good run.27:05 wow. 29:32 so lucky lock on. Ive got killed on Forest Assault by last WLF with millitary pistol. with 5 shot he didnt miss. 2 shots to Tommy and 3 shots to mine and for me missed bottle trow.

Love the teabagging at 10:37. That's what he gets for being a total cheater and seeing through the smoke. What on earth were you looking for at 11:05-11:25? Doing the Mystery encounter with no guns got you a hell of a lot of points. 200 just from that one requirement. If you're playing as a character with only the revolver vs Infected, and you're someone that isn't great at headshots like me, would you recommend shooting off their leg anyway and stomping them for the melee kill? You'd get the same amount of points as going for the headshot but you save some ammo at the cost of a slower kill. Doing a fifth encounter Holdout without long guns is insane. Incredibly well done. Did the AI companion actually did something useful and save you from that clicker at 27:04 or do you have an angel on your shoulder?

Thank you! I was looking for a brick or bottle @ 11:05. I don’t recommend going for leg shots often because it is really slow, you can however go for one leg shot and if you don’t kill it, the rest of the leg shots will be stuns because the game can only have one crawler. But if the crawler dies out by itself you can lose 15 points. And yes, Joel saved my dumbass in holdout 😂

High multipliers, minimum 2 hunted by infected, maybe a capture, and if there’s an assault in the row it should be infected also

You should start copy and pasting your controller aim settings in the descriptions of your vids! Im curious what yours are. Going between helldivers 2 and tlau2 constantly is so jarring lmao, i feel i cant dial in my settings on this game.

@@Valuthra Thanks. Any reason you prefer 90 look sens over 100, is it more smooth or something bc I play 100 and sometimes don't like the way it rapidly picks up, or does 90 help your cross hair placement?

Had a question since you're so good and I'm trying to get better at Grounded. Why do you never pick up the melee weapons people drop? Too slow? And also why do you never craft anything during the downtime between waves, so you can pick up more resources?

Thank you. Yes most melee weapons are too slow. As for crafting, I try my best not to craft and only buy at the trading post to save them for a specific encounter. I only need so much materials and I only craft when I know for a fact the map will have what I need to replenish.

Im always curious about some created bombs in the base then they are not available all of a sudden when you start doing your run. Is this supposed to be a bug? Like for example you crafted 4 smoke/stun bombs before you entered mystery run. Turns out its an assault and when you check your inventory, the smoke/stun bombs that you created in the base are al gone.

Someone explained it to me here in the comments. They said the positive mod “unlock all recipes” unlocks the stun bomb and overrides my smoke bomb, which is why I saw zero smokes. But I got them back after the encounter was done. An obvious oversight from ND.
