This game is so intimidating for a new player, i tried to start but people were already 1m+ power on day 2 and talking about jumper alliances and other things. Im trying to learn as much as possible but there's so much to learn

Very insightful vid, thanks Omniarch. Two things they could do to help with game quality of life and player enjoyment are…. 1. Move passports away from alliance inventory and to its own place e.g kingdom/immigration page where players could independently purchase them. Would take strain of alliance credits and allow alliance members to independently purchase them unbeholden to anyone. 2. Drop the price of passports to 300k IC to allow much more freedom of movement between kingdoms, pretty sure we’ve all seen people quit game when they are stuck in a kingdom they are unhappy in for whatever reason and have no exit route open to them.

I think the only way that Lilith could ever kill this game is just straight up T6 Unit XD

Crystal tech ruined kvk. Maxing a commander means nothing anymore as you will still get destroyed by a big spender even if you have good equipment

RoK has lots of potential still. They just need to make the early game - soc transition less complicated/daunting to new players. Furthermore, it is a big business, and I doubt they are going to flop one of there best performing games, its a multimillion business.

Bro I just want Lilith to put an event that I can get some gh from very old commanders I have, even just one commander I can reclaim my gh back from, Lilith power creeped every old commander in the last year and some of them that were the pick of the game now almost tier B commanders.

As a returning player, from 2019 august i played for almost a year and ofc the game was exciting and very different from ANYTHING i played. I only played these kinds games after i quit my first account in rok, as of now im on my legit 2nd account of 30days play time, because my first one was deleted i guess. 😐😭 Nothing..really shows up statistically that the game is dying, the new kingdoms always allow old players to retry/restart, by mentioning old players yes probably noticeable amount of people quit their main account, for good or to restart. Regardless, nothing will scare off players more than a new tier troop, since t5 is already dominating, t6 would be the closest update that would down spiral rok. Omni is right, its just a gamer moment of "panic" that is reasonably..well, not relevant. Rok is fine 😅

Lilith should provide us to get chance to reimburse unusable commander even with half of that...like when we dismantle legendary gear.

it's never a good time to return to RoK. you'll be extremely behind on equipments and armaments relative to your account age. You'll have a hard time finding a good kingdom.

Well i love the game! but the Crystal tech is THE Red flag for me in the game. I cant pay every kvk JUST TO PLAY(not gh not rss or speedup...) just because you cant play if you dont have a good crystal tech. I would love to see the crystal tech appear, but not in every kvk after kvk3

El juego se está poniendo a un nivel insostenible de micropagos yo llevo invertidos 30.000€ y acabo de dejarle la cuenta a un amigo porque para mantenerme en el mismo nivel de poder cada vez hay que invertir más dinero, no tiene fin cada vez exprimen más a los jugadores al final lo que está pasando es que mucha gente abandona el juego pero sus cuentas siguen, porque son manejadas por amigos con muchísimas cuentas pero la cantidad de jugadores ya no es la misma.

I hope they do address the transition to SoC and I would be interested to hear your thoughts on possible improvements. At the moment, though, SoC seems to me to be a completely different game, And new players either want to play that game but don't want to spend a year getting there and quit or quit when they find that they're playing a different game and the last year was (in the main) wasted.

Farlight is the international version of Lilith. you can understand it as if Lilith publish game under their umbrella. They are bound by hong kong legislation / China legislation. Which is why call of dragons, Dislyte and Afkjourney is published on Farlight studio, so they won't be limited by time limit cycle set by the chinese law. This is also for their taxable income changes.

the power race to the bottom makes it rather clear, that the game will reach the limit where it is playable on a kingdom level. So big kds falling apart, the inscriptions, the iconic tear system, all shiftet to pay to win. given the lack of innovation, the lack of alife kds reaching SoC, and the lack of quality of life chages, dont offer much interesting stuff rn. PS: a healthy kd will zero any returning player on spot - so noone should ever promote returning, better start new if you return to game

Personally i keep quitting and coming back, but I have just found it very hard to fit in into any community! I got outed from my jumper project because people are phobic, I quit my main kingdom 2259 after the 1077 and 2259 vs 1960 KVK back in the day to focus on studies, and when I came back to find my friends it became some low D seed Spanish KD that only has recovery kvks with no fights its just so frustrating

The game is not dying but I left like one year ago and I would never play it again It is too much time to spend on a game especially in kvk and the toxicity is insane.

Thousands of accounts are created every day, many are accounts that will not last more than a week, others are player farms, while others will close the game due to the oppressive policies of their kings or masters. If you notice the achievements are very low, sometimes in the order of 1% or almost even for objectives that we consider easy, this is due to the high number of people who abandon. But the game is more alive than ever, and is making record profits.

Could you review and cover the Ruz backed petition going around? There's a number of items in there that I expect to be very critical to the long term success of the game. I've signed it as a King. The 2nd item is about the new player experience. Retention is so imortant as many players DL the game but few make it long-term.

i actually returning back to rok after a year my old acc was a low spender like 20 buck a month at the beggining then i drop to 10 buck a month cause its early game a lot to buy haha i farm gems for like 8h a day plus and spawn chain i max ysg in kvk 2 on his secound wheel my tech is basicly max for academy 24 all at 9 i got 3 leg equipment my sun ysg destroyed the field haha it was fun 1 to 10 1 to 15 trades i had to quit cause i didnt have time anymore and i burnout now i am very free lol time to get back on the grind i realise most low spender f2p will not have a great time in kvk1 like i did since they get destroyed in the field and ran out of rss etc i prob gonna restart and surpass that old acc xd

You know what might be cool. If they take kingdoms that are considered dead, or other words have very low amount of players in them, and have a KVK to merge them together to make them more prominent in the game. Something like 2v2 or 3v3 (4 kingdoms or 6 kingdoms). The winner of the KVK could have a prize and say their kingdom name or number would be the one used to represent the new combined kingdom. This could bring back some kingdoms that need help in recruiting or just get a boost of activity. This could be fun.

There is this whale in my kvk 1 kd3467. He is 60m+ power but has 600m kill points and still has 30 days in kvk 1 . Wonder how much he is spending for healing (rss and speed ups) coz he is attacking a ball with only his march and he is in a weaker kingdom. I see whales do 100m+ on kvk 1 but never seen someone like him doing crazy on kill points. Only weak f2p are the ones saying rok is dying because they cant compete with spender 😂

Shame they're greedy bastards though, doing a lot of money but no meaningful QoL updates in sight (improved rewards based on the season we are in, more blueprints sources they promised since the awakening update release and nowhere to be seen, update lucerne equipment chest, etc) , nerfing a lot of things and removing the best events from time to time to see if we won't notice to never bring it back once we stop complaining (and no, you don't need to remove events to improve them, that's what test servers are for), also increasing Ceroli difficulty no one asked for and yet keeping rewards the same.

Very informative video Omniarch ...as always, BUT, i believe the game is dying. Not dead but dying. looking at $15M/month might seem like a huge number but you have to compare it with the previous years. Same thing with the number of downloads. But I believe that the game can bounce back if they fix some of the things players have been complaining about like crystal tech and kvk match making.

I think the AP cap on barb forts was the one great update they made. In larger kingdoms they were making it feel very much like a soul killing office job just hitting forts and the imperiums were tracking it, at least 1846 was for a while (I did migrate away). spending all your daily AP on forts can take too much time in non-KvK times even if they do offer a benefit over barbs; but barbs are nice as they're a quick and easy way to burn up AP

ROK is dying. more cities by the same person is not the same as growing. it is why the download data is so low players with 20 accounts only download once. Crystal tech is really t6 troops already. People dont quit since they have spent something but no new players are incoming. Lilith has so many cities in the game just pushing spending especially in the new kingdoms and kvk. Lilith has to push spending cause real people would spend as little as necessary.

They announce that they are working on the graphical update last year. so from last year till now there's been more than half a year to 8months. For a 2024 standard, is abysmal. (The Saturation of the day green??? The Art director blind?) Clearly from what you can see that rise of kingdom is their top earning game. but instead of using the money earn from ROK, they are using it to develop other game like dislyte, afkjourney, farlight84. You can just run afkjourney and see how much love they gave to the game. From the result of the art asset added into the game, can only come out a conclusion. Is a art team that are new to the project because art style totally different. and the art asset put into together are not QC. And when people talk about revamp, at least like warcraft forge, every commander unit, vfx have a re-make. This is just like a group of university graduate just got their intership and force to do some changes without someone guiding.

To boil down the dismay of some on the graphics update to “a lot of people don’t change,” is pretty disingenuous. I think many many more people would be excited about it, if small, basic aspects of the game improved considerably. For instance: why is Home Kingdom the same as it was 5 years ago? How has the expedition shop never seen a single update? Where are the new ways to earn BPs they promised when they introduced the new iconic system? You talk about the need for new players, but would you seriously recommend ROK to a new player right now? Knowing it will be YEARS before they’re competitive ?
