No transfer in April!? | Invitro Fertilization Update

I was informed by my doctor's office that my transfer was canceled due to the corona virus pandemic! I later learned that my RE was still performing transfers (for now) but I followed his recommendation and decided to postpone my transfer until May in hopes that this COVID-19 pandemic situation ends soon! It was a tough decision, but I want to make sure my focus can be on transfer and not everything that is going on with the corona virus! I want to be as healthy as possible - mentally and physically, and limit my contact with others as much as possible, for my (and my baby's safety!) It is so crazy how things work out. From learning the transfer was canceled, then being given the opportunity to move forward with transfer but finding out my RE did not recommend transferring during this time - I know I made the right decision. I will post another update soon!

Hey Candace, I ALWAYS say that our lives are SOOOOO similar LoL. My husband and I were planning on baby #2 as well this month, but decided against it for ALL the same reasons. My b-day was April 17th a day after your first transfer🥰. We are also planning to TTC in May or June.....as I am so apprehensive about going to the doctor with an 8 month old in the midst of all of this.

I’m sorry about your transfer. My transfer was cancelled a few weeks ago. I live in Florida and I heard they will allow in May but the way it’s going, I’m not so sure of that. Good luck to everyone in this boat! Baby dust to all..... it’s the time to get our bodies together and and wait just a little longer. 💕💙

My transfer finally happened in July after several delays, but it was a chemical pregnancy. The embryo was our last frozen embryo, so my husband and I debated whether we'd continue trying for baby #2. We decided to try one more cycle (this will be the 2nd since our successful cycle with our son, which was our first cycle). Our egg retrieval is scheduled in two weeks ❤️ Sending up prayers for you and your family ❤️🙏🏽

@@FruitfulMyFertilityJourney Thank you so much! We just had our egg retrieval Thursday, and the doctor thought they'd get around 10 eggs... God showed up and showed out. They retrieved 34! 25 fertilized. Waiting to hear how many will be sent off for genetic testing. Prayers for you and your family!

My Clinic postponed my transfer indefinitely, until COVID19 situation passes. I started to prepare and had to stop. This will be baby #1 for us. I am a little bummed because I am ready to get this show on the road. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for uploading this video, I am on same page ,ready for transfer after 6 month wait after first retrieval, went through with alot of complications after retrieval ,now when my body is ready this panedamic decease start over, it's so hard to be positive in this situation 😭 you are so strong ,Good luck ♥️

They canceled all transfers til May or till further notice. Just when was about to be my turn. I got mad 11yrs of infertility will be July but then I realized it is the best, who wants to bring a baby been anxious mentally and provably not been able to receive the care I will need. People are even having a hard time buying diapers and wipes in my area. It will on God’s time one day.

I'm glad that you got decide to delay. So many people were forced to push their transfers off, choosing (I hope) gives you a little sense of control in all this chaos.

That's smart of you. Most clinics not doing new cycles anyway because they were told not to until further notice, but they are continuing on with cycles that have already started. I plan to transfer by October, I'm hoping things will settle down by then. Pebbles and I are self Quarantine and I'm able to work from home.

Good choice me and hubby also decided to postpone transfer for 2 months. We do not want to take the risk. Good luck with baby number two!!! We are also preparing for baby number 2 !!

That is exactly what I did I canceled and honestly I do not even know about may to this is so scary right now and I omg know if we will ever recover from it. I wish you luck 🙏🙏

I am just being hopeful things will calm down by then. We will take things a day at a time and pray for all of those affected. We will all recover and come out stronger together 💪🏾

Hi Candace. I hope you and your family are safe and doing well. I am supposed to have a transfer in June but a lot of the preliminary testing I needed before transfer have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

I am in the same boat. My transfer supposed to happen in April in south africa. Now cant travel. I just pray a vaccine is found so people can heal and move on .Its unfortunate people have died and are still dying . God help us!

I was forced to hav my transfer delayed. Because of the lockdown in my country, the clinic was not able to get access to the media required for transfer..I had my ovum pick up in Oct last year. Since I have endometriosis ,the plan was to take dinogest for 3 months followed by GnRh agonist before the FET..it took me 5 months to complete all of that..I was started on estradiol and just 4 or 5 days before the planned FET, I was told that it had to be delayed. I was absolutely crushed initially..but I'm trying to move on..I believe that it will happen when it has to happen..my prayers are with you and all those who are on this journey

Hi, did your ERA come back as same pre receptive? I'm wondering if I should redo mine also, I lost my FET twin boys last June and had to do a D&C after then fibroid surgery in October. Please if you don't mind can you share if your results were similar to your first?

I think it is best too, unfortunately. Definitely don't need unnecessary stress when we should be focusing on our babies! I will definitely share my ERA results when I receive them!

Oh Wow!! I have only heard of one other person with the name. The nurse who helped with my delivery said it was her grandmothers name haha. I think it is such a beautiful name ❤

My story goes like this I was in second grade and I said to myself I was going to have twins and I was going to name them Victor and Victory and when I was in labor with my daughter I remembered that story and I named her Victory!

My doctor is still performing, but it also depends on where you are located. Thank God things are not so bad here in Arizona. Praying for you and sending positive vibes your way!
