No Trim Brisket

Жыл бұрынToday I wanted to try an experiment on taking a brisket that hasn't been trimmed and just put it directly on the smoker to see what kind of difference it makes. I just used a simple salt and pepper rub with a mustard binder and tossed it on the pellet grill at 250 for about 14 hours.

The thick fat on a brisket does not make good food on the plate. Edit: That rendered down nice. Mine still had 1/4" of fat or more in places .

It was an interesting experiment. The one I tried it with was cheap and didn’t have too much fat to begin with so it kept it pretty moist.
