Keep on scratching! My wife bought 40 dollars in 5 dollar tickets and won nothing. She was a little distraught. When I returned home she mentioned this and I drove back to town and bought 50 dollars of the same game tickets. When I got home and she began scratching them, out of the 10 tickets she got a 500 dollar winner and a 10 dollar winner. She wasn't distraught any longer. 😁 (90 dollars turned a 420 dollar profit and with the 90 recouped. This only happens rarely, VERY rarely!)...

Worked in a gas station. Asked the lotto rep. How many tickets in every pkt of tickets scratchers? 200. How many are winners in every pkt? Regardless of winning amount? 2. Taxing the poor. Gambling addiction. Casino at your corner store. Put it in an account with interest and help yourself on your birthday or other holiday.

I don't buy lottery tickets but one of my kids does. She made a good point. When you buy your ticket, no matter which kind, they tear them off. You can't pick which one you want and can not even see them at all most of the time. So what's the point! 😂

I used to work sanitation in NYC. One day in a major Ave in Brooklyn we were on foot sweeping. My partner and I picked up every ticket we found and ended up with like $27. We bought more tickets with that money and won $70. So yes, if you pick up every scratch off you find, you will eventually find some winners. The trick is, not to throw them back on the ground. Best way i know to increase your chances of winning are playing the odds that are listed on the back of the tickets. If the odds are are 1 in 4 then buy 4, or even 5 tickets of the same lottery ticket and by all means one of them should be a winner. Doesn't always work but more often it does

The odds are based on the total amount of tickets printed, so that doesn't mean that if the odds are 3.89 for example, that if you buy 4 tickets , you will win at least on one of them.

When I worked at a gas station a Man who came in daily and played, told me when you buy the low dollar cards never buy less than 5 and always make sure the number ends with an odd number on the first tickets you get and the last ticket you buy. On the $10 you buy 3. The big ones $10 $20 buy odd numbered tickets and you can just get one or two. He always won his money back. Most of the time he won over a $100

Been playing for years and believe it or not hit big twice , 75k and 100k. Both times I had purchased two 3$ tickets. In my experience the white line thing is a myth. However it seems I hit more often than not either towards the front or end of the rolls. I try to avoid the middle of the rolls and buy tickets with either low or high numbers.

The white line is a big myth. It's just the algorithm in which the tickets are made. Now if the odds of the game lines up with some of the wins in a pack I can see how this myth could be started.

The 2nd ticket from "Big Cash riches" you scratched was a winner. One of the winning numbers was a 6, if you look at the first number on the last row you have a 6. Proving your white line theory works.

Location is the key to finding jackpots. Just do the research in your state. There are hundreds, if not thousands of locations where a jackpot can be located. You can count on one hand if a location has had more than one jackpot in the history of the games. It's all about the distribution of the amout of tickets. They may not know where it's going, but they know it's going. The main factors that are against you winning is location, and distribution. Most lotteries have websites that track the majority of tickets that are sold, & claimed. Use this to your advantage. I've seen games still being sold, but all the jackpots were claimed.

So I've been watching a few other different people with the scratch-off ticket videos and I'm pretty into him because it kind of fixes my problem I had with buying and spending too much money on lottery tickets so I watch these videos to get a little fix and it kind of calms me down and makes me not want to buy tickets I get to watch other people waste money or in some cases very little win some good money but then I see them right back on buying more tickets that are not winners and using all that winning money that they won, so then it turns out in the long run that unless you hit really really big you're never going to be on top and that's like 1% of the people who play who hit really big and play moderately you know we call them the lucky people but so happy to watch the video get my fix so I don't have to spend my money thank you for the video

Always remember. Anytime the winning numbers is close to the scratch off numbers, you know from jump it’s not a winning ticket. So if the winning number is “25” and you scratch off the number “24” or “23” you know it’s not a winning ticket. ❤

Quite the opposite, actually. Lottery companies understand human psychology and know that ;people think the more ,money they spend on na scratchcard, the better their chances of winning, so the lottery organizers know these people are mugs and they don't need to put many big wins on the more expensive scratchcards. From my observations, people more often win money on the cheaper scratchcards. Although thy rarely win much, because scratchcards have the longest odds and least chances of winning than any other gambling game of chance in the whole world. Do the lottery and pick your own numbers, then they can't affect the outcome and you'll have a better chance of winning. Unlike the scratchcards where they can limit how many winning scratchcards that they print.

This so cute. The white lines are where the roll is pulled forward during printing. The roller only pulls the strips about 25 tickets before it resets. Has nothing to do with what’s printed on the tickets. Always causes a slight offset of the printing before the computer adjust again.

I work somewhere where we sell lottery and scratchers. People have their superstitions. The white line being one of them. Some ppl like the cards to be between certain numbers. Like, they’ll want a number 25 ticket versus one that’s in the 50’s. (Depending on how many come in a pack). I sold 5 $20 tickets in a row, and not 1 winner! There is no trick to these tickets. They are completely random. Sorry for bursting anyone’s bubble.

I don't know how you buy your lottery scratch offs, but in Kentucky you don't choose which tickets you buy. The clerk pulls them off the roll and gives them to you. Great tips if you can pick and choose your tickets.

@Tn wild man Nobody told me. I buy scratch offs all the time. I tell them which bunch I want to buy from and they tear it iff at the perforation and give it to me. You can choose the particular type, like "Gold Rush" or "Bingo" and they tear the next one off and give it to you. They wouldn't go into the roll and tear five off just to give me the 6th ticket if I asked them to.

All of them kept coming up loosers. I think they may have been one or two that were $1-$2 winning tickets, but as I got to my last ticket as I was scratching it revealed I won $100. So it was for fun (cheaper than the casino) and that one time we got all of our money back.

What? One time I did the same and walked away with 500 dollars for m cash! I won 400 dollars and two 50 dollars, the 400 was a bonus included. This was in college and I had an hunch to turn my last 100 from being laid off, and since I worked there I knew that roll has winners so I bought them. I was right. I saw the patterns of winning tickets from being a gas station clerk.

I used to play the lottery in Atlanta when I lived there. $5 or $10 a week, until I realized I was giving the state extra money every week. A bartender friend down there talked me into buying $20 in holiday scratch-offs because that game hadn't hit in a while and the roll was almost empty. I won $500, $20 and two free tickets out of the original $20. I bought him groceries and myself a set of tires.

Nathan, I used to make these at SGI. The truth is there is no markings that make it visible for a winning ticket. The computer generates the winning tickets and plucks (duplicate winning tickets in case originals get lost.) These tickets are all predetermined before the pool is printed by the computer randomly according to the contract. Most jobs come in large orders. Example Jumbo Bucks was a 58 million ticket order twice a year and only 3 or 4 pages of winning tickets. So good luck and thanks for support our college students.

Really, the only responsible way to play is not to. There’s always better things to do with your money than throwing away playing the lottery. And, a couple of stories, whether true or not, doesn’t change that. There are outliers in any large numbers event. They mean nothing. You are far more likely to get hit by lightning than to win the lottery. Oh , l forgot. More likely to be hit by lightning three times in your life than to win the lottery.

In the UK, an academic got given a scratchcard as a gag present. His interest was piqued and he started wondering if the code numbers on the scratchcard could lead him to identifying winning tickets. Turns out that they did. He contacted the lottery people to point out this flaw to them, but they just ignored him. Until he bought a bunch of winning cards and sent them to the lottery headquarters. Even though they were unscratched, he also included a letter stating how much each card was worth when scratched. Then they took him seriously and changed their algorithms. But I'm betting that in America, if you buy enough cards, you can still compare the code numbers on the scratchcards and work out which ones are winners so that you'll know which ones to buy in future. (Incidentally, the lowest price of a UK scratchcard is £1, which is also the lowest possible winning prize. We don't have a win another scratchcard for free prize option.) .

I have coffee nearly every morning at a Chevron food stop because it's clean, and has tables. I've been coming in for two years, and I sit right adjacent to an Arizona lottery machine. I have watched thousands of people buying tickets, and have only seen a handful of winners of a maximum of #20. I'd say the payout ratio is easily 100-1. That's 100 tickets purchased to win even $2 back. All I see is the wads of cash being removed from the machine by the owner/operators.

My theory after working at a gas station for many years is there is always a winner on the ticket with the white line. After working there for a while I started to notice the white lines. I had told a customer playing scratch offs my theory and he tested it and every ticket he got with a white line at the bottom he won on. Mostly only what he paid for the ticket but none the less he still won on them.

This reminds me of an old co-worker of mine Ed. Back in the late 80's our job was 8 hours out on the road doing service calls, we were the TV repair men. Whenever we would stop at a convenience store Ed used to love to buy scratch off's. I would give him sh*t about how much money he was flushing down the toilet. Knowing the betting man that he was one day while stopped at a store he bought $50 in tickets. We had our usual conversation about wasting his money, and he was so sure he was going to win big this time that I couldn't help myself but make him a side bet. I bet him $20 that we would not drive away from the store with him holding $20 in winnings or more of his ticket purchases. If he won $20 on the tickets and stopped with $20 winnings I would loose and pay him another $20 but if he didn't manage to leave with $20 worth of winnings he would have to pay me $20. The bet was on... he was so sure he would take my $20 and win some $ on the scratch off's... after he scratched off all of his tickets he was pretty close to the $20 with $15 in winnings. He was like "damn I'm close" and said "lets go back in I am going to buy a couple more tickets with some of this $15" to which we did. When he was done scratching those he was down to $10 in winnings... He was like "sh*t I might as well go all in at this point" back inside for the third ticket purchase to where he dropped the last $10 in winnings he had. Out of that $10 he lost it all, no winners... Back out in the truck it was time to pay up. He lost $70 in that stop, $50 to the state and $20 to me. Interestingly though my Uncle did win $10,000 on a scratch off ticket one time! Made me wonder how many thousands he lost in the process of winning 10 grand on that ticket... Ahh the lottery... The extra tax for people who are bad at math! ;)

The next year, I got a ingrown toenail, had it for 4 or 5 months. Then , Covid 19 hit , job search now? Don't know,. That amount, I wish I could win , to fix my car , oil change and filter. I worked at a family owned business that sold lottery (VA Lottery, from the time it was started until 2021 when we went out of business) and the white line thing, does hold a little truth, it increases the odds of a winner, but at the same time I've seen plenty of white line losing tickets too. Would be intesting if someone bought a ton (thousands of dollars) worth of tickets, and see if the odds truly increase with a white line or it is percieved.

I've played scratch offs since I was a kid, the best way I can tell if it's a loser is if a few of your numbers is one of from the winning numbers it's a sign that it's most likely a loser, but best way to win is to not think with your mind but to go with your gut feeling, it's how I usually win-

i buy one at a time have the scanner on my phone ready and don't let anyone see what cards im getting usually have big pockets or face the color side toward my shorts and scratch it with special plastic scratcher get it in few swipes to scan. just won 1300 tonight and bunch 20s started with like 60 bucks think i had to spend 40 to get it going. I always ask what number it is too before i Buy SOME GAS STATIONS have the numbers going up or down so buying the last card is not always wise if you didnt buy them beforehand and still chance of winning

Idk if anyone else noticed or not, but the second $5 ticket, the one right after the white line that won on the back was also a winner on the front as well with #6!!!!

I have always found that after you reveal your winning numbers and start scratching as soon as you start getting numbers right below all right above the winning numbers then it’s a bad card. Say the winning numbers are 18 and 12 if you scratch off a and 19 or 13 and 11 you might as well throw the ticket away.

When u buy a scratcher, uv already either won or lost. U dont even need to scratch the whole ticket, just the bottom and then scan it.

Or, just ask the clerk to scan the tickets before you purchase them, and only buy larger cost tickets. Then you will be rich, and you'll never have to dig a ditch!

If you want tips ask the cashier. They sell them all day and usually the buyer goes back to cash in or gloat on their winnings especially if the cashier is a women. I was told fresh packs of new games are good to win within the first 5 to 10. This is to help spread the word that this ticket pays off. Well after 10. chances of big wins are low until around #30 to #40. So always ask the clerk what number ticket it's on before buying. If they say they can't tell you then they know what you fishing for and might want to snag it for themselves. I always get great tips from women cashiers and the ladies that work casinos. They know which machines are due to pay out

Society News Network not sure how reliable this story, I think you just want to sound like a womaniser or something as there is a high emphasis on women in this little story. My first problem with this story is that I work in a shop and there’s usually 16 different sets of cards and about 50 cards per pack, no one is going to be counting that amount of tickets as well as remember how many there are for each different set. Also when someone takes over a shift or takes their colleague off for a break how are they going to know the numbers, if the colleague before them wasn’t counting which is highly likely. ALSO if the cards were refilled or changed when you were not at work, how are you going to know any of the numbers then, because they won’t be full as, like I just said, they were changed on your day off. Same goes for the casino apart from there will be MORE games to count and memorise.

Sometimes the cashier's *won't* tell you what #'s are on a ticket because it's against company policy! Most stores don't allow the employees to play the lottery (tickets or otherwise) while they are on duty! I know this because I've been one of those cashiers!

Demon x Monkey maybe you should do some research before trash talk on Society News Network comment because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. The cashier knows the ticket number because it is displayed at the top and bottom of each ticket. I know they can easily see this because I always ask before purchasing any tickets. Society News Network knows what they're talking about and obviously you DO NOT. So again do your research before bad mouthing someone in your comments and MAYBE in the future you won't sound like an ass

Back in the early '90's , only one time I struck money....I bought $10 worth of scratch off......won $60 , on the way home I stopped at a convenience store.....with $60 in my pocket, I played $20.....won $90. So that was a profit of $120.....about the same as a two week take home paycheck at that time.

The “white line” is just the ticket where it separates. They don’t go through the trouble to mark them

Here's a tip if you look at the bottom right hand corner of ticket you will see numbers which represent the number of the tickets such as 024 would mean that ticket is 24 out of how many tickets that are in that stack the lower the number more likely you are to win instead if you get a number like 1250.

My cousin goes by the white line on the tickets and she's the luckiest person I've ever seen. She won the big jackpot on the 5 dollar jumbo tickets about 4 years ago. She usually puts alot of money back into buying more tickets tho. So all in all I would say she breaks even.

It's not very rare at all actually it's all the cars are set up if you download your state lottery up it'll tell you every game that's hot and has the top prizes and the odds so you can go from there

Back in the day my friend could always tell if they were winning tickets (about 9 times out of 10).. She would ask them what the last numbers were on the ticket before she'd buy them- If it was an odd number it was a winner!!💯 And let me tell you - SHE ALWAYS WON!💥 I tried it couple times and ya - it worked!! I don't really spend my money on that stuff but once in a while - a ticket or two is no biggie deal!! IT'S A STRESS RELEASE BY SCRATCHING THE STUFF OFF - SOMEHOW SEEMS CALMING.. HA!!😁✌️

1st and foremost I'm not a lottery expert, but a lot of people make the mistake you did. If you spend $50.00 on scratch offs don't buy several different cards like you did, you're lowering your odds. If I spend that amount of cash I'll play the same game on all of my tickets it's better odds. For instance, if I spend $50.00 on $2.00 tickets I'll play the same game, I'll have 25 chances to win, higher odds. I may not get back what I spent, but I have better odds of doing so, or even win more than I put in, it only takes one ticket, and I'll have 25 chances.

When these tickets first started there were a lot more winning tickets, and you could win a million off from a dollar ticket. Now, the chances of winning have decreased by 90% and if you want a chance at a million, you are going to have to spend 10 or 20 on 1 ticket. Your best odds are with the daily 3. Spend 5 or 10 a day on the same numbers and wait for it to come to you. Then double your bet with your winnings and wait. Eventually you are going to win. Numbers repeat often in the daily 3 and there are plenty of patterns you can use to try to predict what numbers are going to come out.
