Women in Nagaland r neither encouraged nor discouraged

You speak about patriarchy how about safety of women.. Nagaland is one of the safest place for women. Cultural values develop a sense of responsibility for men towards the security of women, not to be mistaken that women are weaker sex but this is how we balance social responsibility sustaining social harmony in the society. Honesty women share a fair amount of power in the society many of which are manifested by the opposite sex... To live with social security, social order, social harmony, love and respect is better than infrastructural or monetary development

Nagaland had always more women voters than men true but rarely a women leader. Prajatantra(politics) isn't always about "if justice is happening" it should appear too that justice is happening "Justice Sirf hona nahi cahiye dikhna bhi cahiye"

@@bhootpurvmanusya This is due to the tribal tradition of head hunters. The women must stay inside because they are not physically strong. This has become a very pretentious action. The thought of moving through evolution is essential in nagaland. This includes India. We also has a lot of progress to make. But i support this women. I hope she bring them justice.

@@Sketcher86 yes just figured in my recent research why north east is still poor even with people 80% literate because they have not just one govt to please (central govt) but multiple govt among them. In North when people are submitting pil to make access of electricity a human right it's sad to see most of north east have to still face regular power cut (some are with none access at all)and they themself had to pay for generators as a community for themselfself. They have to make road for everyone else out of their own pocket it's sad.

@@Sketcher86 nagaland is already 80% litterate but as poor of a state as bihar. in nagaland its a common practice that if any shopkeeper is caught selling expired products local underground govt would fine them with proper excel sheets in detail of their wrong doing. called excel extortionist. rule of law exists but of local governmants. central govt has no rule there. due to lack of central governance state's issues get ignored. which is why people there are against central governance cuz even with bjp in power(though they had only 2 seats) they have to take care of their intersts themself without anyhelp.

Name one job in Nagaland where women arent present???Be in government jobs like EAC,DSP,teachers etc etc….. Nobody is stopping them from participating in elections likewise no party can be expected to give her a ticket just because she is a women, neither can you expect the public to vote for you just because you are a women.Women are represented equally among almost all jobs and posts in Nagaland,so why bring up only politics and try to potray like Nagaland is against women empowerment??? Naga women enjoys equal status and rights, freedom of choice more than other parts of the country. Its like saying”Why There are more Girls in Bsc nursing course and less boys. Its against man empowerment,we need equal rights. Can we say that???

Nagaland and Manipur have some of the bravest, most persistent and highly resilient ladies in the whole of the North East region, they are some of the most honest, trustworthy and diligent Indians that one could ever imagine. The society should stop judging them based on their gender but instead evaluate their skills and capabilities. Give them a chance to shine and if God willing, they will show their quality.
