I'm a student of the Golfing Machine by Homer Kelley. In Chapter 2, there are 3 imperatives listed as the "holy grail" of "fixes" that serve to correct improper procedures. The #1 imperative is a "flat left wrist," and for years, I thought I was doing it and that it was my path that was the problem. I was wrong. My game has changed overnight. I can't wait to get a hack motion to further refine the awareness of my flat left wrist. Hogan believed in it, and now that I play with it a little more, I'm hitting it SO much better. Coming in to impact with the left wrist in flexion gives room to release the flexion just after impact, which prevents the club from closing. Eureka!

It feels like most players (include me!) you'll need to use this with a pro, at least at the start to get on the right postions.

Very interesting video. I have quite a bowed wrist yet I can barely hit the ball anywhere. Conversely I have to try and release the driver head into the ball (feels early) to get any distance (which is also poor).

Hi Simon, had this for a while. Use the full hand strap rather than the velcro slide even with a glove on, hack motion agree this is more accurate esp with address. The beauty for me is in the swing graphs for each shot and how simple they are. Drill keeping those flat to the top moving into flexion in the DS and it will all be good. 👍 No wavy lines! :) Good luck

I recently Got fitted for a driver for the first time. I happen to have a 110 clubbhead speed but I'm still new to the game. Could u do a video for golf balls that are cheep for fast clubhead swings. I'm not rich but love the game. Thankyou

This basically describes my golfing split-personality (how I describe it). I can bow the wrist and play really good golf with 5 iron and below but long clubs way too low/short/ Driver next-to-useless. However, I have just gained 30 yards with my driver at 106 clubhead speed and correct launch and height with feeling of cupping/ overswing and early releasing but it is not confidence-inspiring on the course with some crazy misses. Suggestions on how to increase one's chances of getting the best of both worlds as much as possible? - that's what I wanna know.

Can you elaborate more on your wrist issue? I'm curious if wrist extension is what's causing my hand pain near my wrist. Seems like a lot of strain on the area near impact.

It’s a fault in my swing at the top, I have struggled with for with years. You definitely can improve it without this though, I just like the real time feedback. 👌
