@@johnporkthe3rd51 I was two years old and wasn't following football in 2006 but having watched videos of the games of the tournament it seemed great, my favourite world cup was 2018 in Russia, mainly cause England did very well and won on pens, but also cause very few people thought it would be a success but FIFA and Russia absolutely smashed it, very little hostility and violence, many surprises as well, from Germany getting knocked out at the group stage to Croatia getting to the final, Japan giving Belgium a scare, from an organisational standpoint it was fantastic

I know what you meant, but just for the record, you can’t truly be *sure* of something like that. France’s win probability took a big hit when Zidane got sent off, but it’s not like it had been at 100% pre-headbutt. France could have lost anyway.

Don't be sad for Henry In the UCL against Barca he wasted 4 easy chances to win the game...Henry is one on one with Valdes n does not score. Against Italy again Henry was the main striker...he plays for a whole 90minutes and with all his experience he doesn't give an assist or score a goal. Even with Zidans redcard that French team had very experienced players to beat those Italians In the big games Henry always disappeared... he was only good in the EPL

Even teams like Sweden, Czech Republic, Mexico, USA had great teams. That Ivory Coast team is one of the greatest african teams to play in a world cup. Golden era of football 90s-2000s!

Attending world cup is a chance for your country to show your culture to friends all over the world. Imagine your favorite players, Veratti for example, didn’t appear in any world cup posters or when you read the newspaper in the world cup season you don’t see news about your favorite Italian players that sucks. I bet to you that mo Portugal fans in 2018 they celebrated the euro 2016 title in the world cup. Celebration is only worthy if other countries in the world honored you, if you only enjoy your Euro while other countries fans they focused on the world cup that’s not celebration.

Italy play Australia, Ukraine, Germany before the met France in the final. France had to go through these teams ranked in the world Spain #5 , Brazil #1 , Portugal #7 and then Italy. France was an amazing team but Italy had the easier bracket and were fresher. Zidane is very private and protective of his family. I cannot say I would not have reacted the same way. But I would have love for him to keep his composure, win the World Cup via penalties and the icing on the cake would be to beat the brakes off of Materazzi ass.

On paper they had really strong attacking minded Players. But they don't really have balance team. Their defence are penetrable and this is maybe cold take for me but Kaka and Ronaldinho not suit playing together. You don't need all that stars player to win the WC just need solid team like German or Team that knew how to play their style the best like Spain's Tiki Taka or France with their counter attack style.

How can you say they cheated. Italy conceded only 2 goals throughout the tournament. One own goal and Zidane's penalty. Even the penalty shouldn't have been given. Malouda dived. No one touched him. Italy's defense was simply unbreakable. Both Germany and France tried all their best to break the defense but couldn't score. Do your study before foul mouthing.

Italy may have missed the last two world cups but France still have alot of catching up to do before they match what italy have won, France deserved to lose in 2006, France tried to cheat and it blew up in their faces. Malouda the cheat, italy had more possession and grit and Luca Toni's goal in the final was not offside, go and look at genuine highlights 👍
