This Jew feels partyless, and after watching Palestinian flags waving in front of the White House calling for "from the river to the sea" I will tell you, this Jew will NEVER vote Democrat again. I think the protests of Oct 8 and 9th were worse than Jan 6th. I can say the positive thing is I have gone back to Temple and reconnected with my Jewish roots.

I can’t be a single issue voter. So even if GOP is signaling it will support Israel better because of its support of Jesus’s birthplace, I can’t support anti-LGBTQ legislation, removing a women’s bodily autonomy, a push for autocracy, accelerating climate change, and supporting one of the most terrible people to ever be President. Therefore, I will make the fairly easy choice of voting for the Democratic candidate.

I have been trying since Oct 7 to understand or to just place that what happened on a scale, of immorality. To put it in some sort of place. I fail. There are no thoughts to explain to myself. Watching and listening to Noa Tishby, it gives me a 'place' to be. Even friends and family turn away conveniently. Ignoring what is happening.

A big part of the cultural differences can be found that Western Civilization has a more guilt based centered morality, as opposed to a shamed based centered. Admitting one’s guilt and not being afraid that the judgement will be fair, presents an opportunity for repentance and growth. In a shame based culture, admitting guilt is seen as leaving one open for exploitation, so it isn’t done.

I come from a long line of anti-zionist Jews. We weren't part of Neturei Karta or Satmar Hasidism. We were 19th Century main stream German Jews who participitated in how, what an when a Jewish State might look like. Some protested for religious reason, meaning the Biblical conditions for the refounding of the State of Israel hadn't been met. Others, like my father, for political reasons, recognizing that a state created against the will of a signifigant minority who, by the nature of a parlimentary system would always feel threatened by the political will of the majority was doomed for violent internal strife. He was correct. So, this stoooopid argument that anti-Zionism is the equivalent of antisemitism is logically flawed and insulting.

everyone wonders why we need a jewish state. lots of reasons why we need one. but people think it's so weird. As if USA isn't christian. almost every ME country is Muslim. It's about culture and customs and tradition and what holidays your government observes. The difference is in some countries like USA and Israel you're allowed to practice a faith other than Christianity or Judaism or no faith at all. In Israel you can be Jewish, Christian, Islamic or an atheist, whatever you want. Try being anything you want to be in any other ME country.

I don't understand why people don't point out one simple fact and I will set it up like this so it is very easy to process. The KKK was a group formed in the US. This group was made up of Americans. Americans are the ones who stand against them. Hamas is a group of people who are made up of which people? Saudis? Jordanians? Egyptians? Or are they predominantly made up of Palestinians? 🤔 I think this distinction needs to be part of the conversation because very conveniently this connection seems to be left out.

I generally am not in line with Adam politically, but I appreciate his support for Israel and admiration for Jews. And he makes sense on a lot of things. But he lost me with "the great Dennis Prager." Yes, Prager is good when it comes to Jews and Israel, but in general he is just an awful, terrible human being.
