Just discovered this song today. I genuinely felt every word. Been in love with a friend for almost 8 years now, she rejected me within the first year though. 1 year and i'm still here. anybody else?

So there was this girl na nakilala ko when I'm entering college na. When I'm first year student, nakita ko yung tropa ko, my childhood friend tas pareho kaming course (kaso magkaiba kaming section so hindi kami classmate) at nagkamustahan kami ulit at balak namin mag ka classmate kami in next sem. Ff. Nung nagka classmate na kami may kaibigan sya na girl na close nya, akala ko girlfriend nya yun or crush so bigla ko nlng silang shinipp na ganun pero hindi pala hahaha and as time goes by nagka close na kami nung girl at di ko na inakala na dun nagsimula ang tindi ng pagtibok ng puso ko chaour. Nung nag 2nd year na kami, palagi na kaming nagkasama sa school at classmate sa lahat ng subjects, sobrang saya ko talaga pag nakita ko sya like kahit presence nya man lang ay buo na araw ko. Pero when pandemic occurs, (syempre nag online class na lahat colleges) I make my own way naman na makipag voice chat ako sa kanya so kahit boses nya lang marinig ko buo narin araw ko (naisipan ko pa tlaga mag landi kahit nagka lockdown na HAHA) Ff. Palagi kaming nag discord ng girl pag may activities kami, and that makes me passionate even more na gusto ko pa e pursige sa mga gawain sa school syempre inspired talaga ako sa kanya. Then habang nag v-voice chat, dun kami nag open up sa mga life namin and dun ko sana gustong mag confess sa kanya na I've fallen inlove with her. Pero before that, naipakwento nya na meron na pala syang boyfriend (saklap) . Syempre masakit yun and naiiyak nlng talaga ako na sayang I'm too late na pala. But still, I cherish naman ang pagiging friendship namin kaya binalewala ko nlng at I still decided to admire her from afar. Tinulungan ko sya sa mga activities nya, at kung nahihirapan sya ginagawa ko talaga lahat matulungan lang sya. Nung nagkasakit yung kuya nya at hindi na sya nakapag focus sa school, ginawan ko sya palagi ng activity (activity na on time yung deadline) kasi hindi na talaga sya makapag join sa meeting sa sobrang hirap sa sitwasyon nya. Tuwing gabi tuturuan ko sya sa mga topics na hindi na nya maintindihan kumbaga, ako nlng yung teacher nya sa lahat ng subjects namin. Inintindi ko talaga lahat topic namin kasi ako nlng yung pag asa nya para makahabol sya. Yes, kahit may bf na sya umasa parin ako HAHAHAHA pero ang mas masaklap, her boyfriend cheated on her. Syempre nakaka irita (kasi kung ako yan, di kita gaganyanin charot jejemon ampp HAHAHAHA) That was the time na parang naiyak nlng ako kasi hindi nya naman deserve yon. Sobrang bait nya at napaka responsableng tao kaya nga ako na inlove sakanya. That time cinomfort ko talaga sya (sincere comfort not just para ako na yung susunod) I've always tell her that there is more importance than relationship and that's to improve herself for what she's lacking. Grabe tbh, hindi ko na nga naintindihan sarili ko kung bakit palagi ko nalang sya yung prinioritize ko. I've always tell myself na kahit san sya pupunta, ay is that I've always be by her side, and when the world is against her, I'll be her one and only friend to rely on. Yes, and I've always do that. She appreciated me for what I'm doing and umasa na nga ako nga baka may chansa na. We've always talk about our lives na comfortable na talaga kami sa isa't isa. Pero dito talaga yung masakit na part eh. After balak ko naman mag confess, dumating naman ang time na may boyfriend ulit sya (here we go again), and guess what? Nakilala nya lang sa ML :< but the man she inlove with is green flag naman talaga. It's hard to admit but yes, he's a successful man and gentle. So yes sa part ko, sobrang sakit. Sobrang sakit na ako yung nasa tabi nya, always supporting her for what she want to do, sa lahat ng mga pagsubok sa school o sa life, ay ginawa ko talaga lahat but still, hindi parin ako ang pinili. I prove it desperately na I'm the man na kaya kong pasayahin sya with actions and not just words. Pero siguro dun nga nagkulang. Sa sobrang "action" na ginawa ko, wala ng "words" na marinig nya na I've deeply fallen inlove with her. And ngayun na third year na kami, and mag f-fourth year next year, I'm still here, hiding my feelings na walang magawa kundi umiyak nlng. Pero Siguro tanga ako, kasi kahit hanggang ngayon, I still decided to talk parin sa kanya, and yes classmate parin kami sa lahat ng subjects. She thought of me as her bestfriend and the most trusted guy. Natakot ako na baka pag mag confess ako despite her having boyfriend, baka masira yung friendship namin, and this is also the reason na bakit nag stay at hidden lang ako, kasi ayoko pang mawala sya sa tabi ko. Sobrang sakit na hanggang bestfriend lng ako. Idk anymore kung anong ginagawa ko. It's just that I always prioritize yung happiness nya over relationship label for the sake na "makuha ko sya", "girlfriend ko na sya". Pero ganun siguro ang magmahal noh? Piipiliin mo talaga yung choice na kung san sya masaya. Yes until now, di pa ako nakapag confess sa totoo kung naramdaman. Kaya nung napakinggan ko tong kanta na toh, umiyak talaga ako kasi sobrang relate. "Di man kami tinadhana pero di ako naghinayang sa panahon na magkasama tayo" PS: Sorry sa mahabang comment, siguro sa sobrang puno ng nararamdaman ko na hindi ko man na i confess sa kanya, I decided to just express it here, kasi sobrang sakit na hahahaha To my beloved woman and my only bestfriend: Ewan ko ba kung type mo yung genre ng ganitong musika, pero pag nabasa mo to, I just want you to know na I'll be the greatest fan of your life. Lately, I've faced so much stress in life but this song comforts me.

I don't think this is the first time I've heard this song, but right now it hits different because I can feel every bit of it. I've been into someone for almost 2 and a half years, right now I am already moving on after learning that he already has a girlfriend. Learning about this from my other friend instead of coming from him hurts me also, I have a couple of questions that I keep on asking myself "Does he not trust me enough?" or "He just wants to protect my feelings?" but I cannot do something about it anymore. i choose to move on instead of disturbing him just to answer my useless meaningless questions. Since from the start, I am already aware that no matter how much I like that him, I cannot force him to reciprocate the feelings.
