That place really needs help.. I will never understand why people go in and destroy things. I don't know how long he has been gone, but this looks like something that has been abandoned for 50 plus years. Surprised it wasn't sold in a tax sale.

Those rounded log ends used for the exterior walls must have taken a lot of labor. They would all be cut to the same length and I'm not sure how they were supported before the concrete or grout was applied.

So he was a Slum-Lord! The guest house was crazy, however can see it was great cabin at one time. Also that first toilet didn't have John & Greg's Brown Bombers hahahaha. The logs on the main house are super cool! The eve work was beautiful. The hole in the fireplace could have been for small electric fans to circulate air to warm the room up more. I find it odd that the Canadian Courts haven't taken the property. Definitely would be a great place to restore. Awesome Explore! Keep Orange Crushing It!

What a beautiful place! He spared no expense on his own home! And I’m confused-the police can’t do anything? It’s abandoned. He left the country. That just makes no sense! Too bad they don’t take possession, sell the property and pay at least some of his creditors.

The construction of that log cabin is Very Unique 🏚️ The building is solid, the inside could actually be rebuilt and would make for a Way Cool Air BnB

Strange they didnt take that property by order of the court. A local business here in BC shut down a few days ago and the owner whined to local news that the creditors even took his house for taxes owing and unpaid bills

Super cool explore Noah. I think the main building looks to be in pretty good shape. At least structurally. If the owner has truly taken off there’s the possibility you could take the property by “adverse possession” ( not sure if Canada has this option). Just start living there. If the owner doesn’t come back and you do it long enough it’s yours.

That kind of log work is called “ stove wood”, in the late 1800’s you’d see a “stove wood barn” and/or cabin. It’s a neat style I think

The fireplace may have had a "Heatalater" (sp?) Our stone fireplace had one before we moved in...those holes would have been vents.

Somebody Hass to be paying tax on that property and I doubt that he is even if he owns it. So if he’s not paying the taxes on it, anybody can go to whatever court jurisdiction that that property is in and look and see what the back taxes on it are pay those taxes and own that property.

I think it appears well built a probably could be restored. I’ve never seen a pattern like the one on the outside. I wonder what a person could get out of throwing such as a stove out of a window. I’ll never understand. That area seemed so peaceful. My imagination runs wild at what it could possibly be like if fixed up.

Yeah thanks Noah for the revisit it is definitely and I think we're shaped in the first time I've seen it I mean anything could be saved but it's going to cost a lot I just don't see anybody spending the money and somebody commented about the previous owners history I think that would be a factor be a nightmare for the new owner I just don't see anybody there's nothing to reword there's no reward for going in there and fixing it I think it'll end up just rotting away and becoming just nature again like it is becoming now.

This cabin built this way. It would be great if you could stay inside . Could this cabin stand a HURRICANE? or would it flip on strong winds over 125 mph??
