Isn't it weird that there's a woman named Ghislaine Maxwell in a prison right now in Tallahassee, Florida, that could answer SOOOOO many mysteries surrounding what Epstein did, and who he did it with. The media was allowed interviews with an imprisoned Charlie Manson, Ted Bundy, etc. Yet somehow, either the media isn't allowed to talk to her, or, she's not allowed to talk to them, despite the fact that viewer demand would be globally record shattering. If her media blackout doesn't point to the size of this scandal, I don't know what does.

Hey guys, I often think your commentary is spot on but I think you’re probably wrong on this one. I’m from the U.K. so things may be slightly different but I suspect not by much. I recently had a relative pass away and when that happens the money is frozen. It took a lot of back and forth with a lawyer to have the money released to their office before it could be transferred to my account. That said it’s very shady for Chomsky to have been meeting with Epstein. I think the better angle to explore is why was Epstein close enough to be advising and aiding him financially? Like, couldn’t he get a lawyer or financial advisor or his bank or literally anyone else?

The way journalism is supposed to be done is to take a transfer of money, call it an "affair", take the explanation given by an individual who admittedly doesn't know how to deal with money, dunk on it for not being sufficiently explanatory (shock!), then speculate on all kinds of nefarious alternative reasons why it might have happened, implying malicious intent and announcing the person being discussed has disgraced themselves? Which of those steps scream integrity and proper journalistic work ethic to you? When something happens and it "looks fishy", and that's all you can say, then say it looks fishy. A journalist asks questions. A journalist does not fake skepticism in order to drive into the viewers' heads a steadfast conclusion made on insufficient evidence. If this even counts as journalism (as opposed to say, water cooler gossip), it's very poor and reflects badly on the outlet's credibility. Here's what we know: There was a transaction. It came from Epstein, went to Chomsky. It followed a transaction that Epstein received. The explanation given isn't sufficient in terms of the financial mechanisms that were alluded to. But it doesn't contradict anything, nor does it seems particularly unlikely given that Epstein and Chomsky seem to have had no real working relationship beyond this one transaction. Does this implicate Chomsky in Epstein's other dealings? No. We also know that at the time, Epstein was a known sex offender. Does this implicate Chomsky morally? Possibly. More evidence may come to light. Does this mean we should tell the world he was involved in shady dealings and that we should go on a wildly speculative rant about how disgusting everyone involved was? I mean, we could... At the water cooler, between discussing office politics and how that one man who slept with Katy a few weeks ago has now apparently dumped her officially.

Personally, I do find it plausible that sometimes it's better to transfer to yourself through a third entity (usually a corporation). I don't know Chomsky's situation, but I've been advised that large bank transfers, even to yourself, can set off false-postive flags to regulators. So I've transferred money to myself through third parties. The concern might have been unjustified, and maybe there are better financial services today that can take care of this for you. Transferring large funds as a person is not the same as transferring large funds as a corporation.

Chomsky has always been a sketchy person, intellectual or not. Saying you can respect his work intellectually is like saying you can appreciate Jeffrey Dahmer's cooking skills or Joseph Goebbels' facility with language. Sorry; can't buy that. You either admit Chomsky is a tainted MAP at best, or more likely one of Jeffy's "buddies who shared", just like Gates and Clinton.

This does not surprise me AT ALL. Wasn't evidence presented a number of years ago of good old Noam Chomsky having worked for the CIA as a young man before becoming the US's one and only "public intellectual"? Even as a college student in the 1980s I found Chomsky to be a suspicious character. Too weird how celebrated he was and is for having produced cultural critique that is not very original.

Everyone needs to continue voicing their displeasure over Krystal's treatment of those she debates on this show until it is properly addressed. Stop shouting people down. Stop cutting them off. It's not a debate if you have someone sitting across from you but just grandstand. It does nothing to productively forward discourse and allow people to come to a better consensus about their policy-based or ideological-based visions for the future.
