Easy way to phase align main and sub speakers: Pick your crossover frequency and invert the polarity of one of the speakers. Feed both speakers with a sine wave at the crossover frequency. Align the speakers to minimize the crossover sine wave volume. Remove the polarity inversion and you're done.
