I feel like it's a matter of how oversaturated with content tiktok is compared to vine, nearly everyone has one and is doing completely different things so sometimes it can be difficult to find something suiting your specific tastes/humor

It is a different time so the humor is different to an extent. My dad and I have the same humor when it comes to jokes but, I love memes and he does not. The difference is when we grew up with which made us find different things funny. Then there is also the fact that not everyone likes the same thing. When I say time I mean a number of factors but especially what people had access to to make content with when they were growing up. Another factor is how mature someone might be at that time in their life. Etc.

Tiktok compared to vine. Vine has old classics and some actual funny stuff. Tiktok on the other hand has some still funny stuff but our humour has shifted so much in the past few years that a man with autotune saying *cheeseburger* while eating a cheeseburger will make us burst out laughing

To be fair there was a lot of shit on Vine too, but a lot less people used it since it was like 2013. So it wasn't as "oversaturared"

I feel like our humour hasn't actually changed. Something that has changed is that when Vine was big, short form content was new, so even though it was big, it wasn't big to the same extent tiktok is. Short form content is now ubiquitous, and everyone and their nan is hip to it. Like, my aunt keeps in touch with her grandkids over tiktok.

I'm actually of the camp that Vine was exactly the same as Tiktok, but tiktok is more available. So, while there's more bullshit on tiktok, there's also WAAAYYYYY better shit than on Vine. And Ima be honest... the vast majority of Vine was... meh

I think Vine was better just on principle. I think it not being a chinese spy program is a big plus. But also I think the comedy was a good bit more classy, very different from the slapstick/insane humor today. Not that I don't like that humor, but Vine hit all the good spots.

I think a bit factor is that when Vine was big, that was the popularization of short-form video content, so there was a lot of innovation and creativity. Now short-form video content is mature. There's still good stuff, but it's more of a settled format, and there's a ton of low-quality imitators of what was once innovative interesting new forms of content.

dude it's a no brainer, vine whilst basically the same thing as tiktok had a much more creative and interesting userbase than tiktok, most of tiktok is boring or shit, that's even when it's not reaction content which vine didn't really do it was all original stuff like skits etc. Now we do get the odd thing where lots of people add parts to existing videos to improve them but that's rare

You know, the more times i see the child playground testing video the more i understand it can easily happen, if not just because of 1 child clumsiness, but maybe because another child wanted to push him for whatever reason. That doesn't mean you shouldn't go there, as there are many places like that, but you need to keep your eyes on the child
