the pistol shrimps punching ability is even downplayed in this, a punch from a pistol/mantis shrimp goes fast and hard enough to create a cavitation bubble, (basically a mini vaccum) that then collapses due to the pressure changes and ignites creating a flash of light and heat which is as hot as the surface of the sun, this may sound like complete bs but its actually not.

11:30 Usually you should run if that happens to you, but in this case it's extremely likely that it wasn't because lightning was about to strike. If you look closely, you'll notice that a) the static electricity only affected some of them and b) they had plastic sleds with them. Most likely explanation is that they used to sleds to ride down the dunes, which created the static electricity because the sand doesn't work that well at grounding the charge.

I've noticed with a lot of british youtubers that they have an odd obsession with comparing America with the UK and saying, " UK is better." Its so strange how a group of people have that much of an obsession towards America...I know Americans dont compare themselves very much to any country so it comes across as strange as people from the UK do it fairly often. It's so strange.

So for context, the bone is real, it is not commonly found on skeletons you see in places cause it is easily lost and just a hassel to keep on. The floating island is real, usuaully they are sand or dirt islands that water errodes away most of the ground underneath, but the thick plants like trees and grass ontop make such a thick root network it stays together. So think of it less like an island, and more a giant mangled mass of roots with dirt/small rocks stuck together floating on water. like if you tried to walk on it, it is likely you would fall through in many spots. Pretty sure that pool is a natural water pool if I remember correctly. That was a black bear, they don't really hunt they mostly scavenge, so pretty fine, plus its small so thats prob a kid, they are rather harmless, of course the only exception being if its one protecting its young, or its REALLY hungry.

Also, French Bulldogs (which is what the breed in that clip is) have been bred to have very short snouts, which means they have trouble breathing. You shouldn't take a dog like that on big walks, especially on warm days. It's actually become illegal in a lot of countries to breed them like this and licensed breeders now breed them in such a way that they are starting to get longer snouts again.
