the guy falling over has cataplexy which is paralysis of the muscles with strong emotions like laughter anger or excitement. cataplexy is often connected to narcolepsy. you are still conscious but cant control the muscles for a certain time until the attack goes away.

Fun fact 2:45 rats can fall up to 50 feet without serious injury! Smaller creatures have a lower terminal velocity overall, and so can fall from substantially larger distances without injury :)

Rats have smaller bodymass thus smaller pull of gravity thus able to survive longer falls without injury.

Animals that are small enough can survive falls from basically any distance since their terminal velocity is so low, since air resistance is about surface area, whereas gravity is affecting mass, which is about volume. Rats are near that boundary. While they can't fall from any height, they can fall from very large heights safely.

im pretty sure narcolepsy comes in different severity and can cause people to suddenly fall asleep and can be caused by excitement or can be random, not a doctor and haven't done research but just what ive heard

2:50 probably have been said but it's due to the max speed you can reach while falling (terminal velocity) some spieces reach a maximum speed bellow what they can endure so they can fall from any high in the world and still be alive. (if you throw that rat from 10 miles up he'll still be alive )

@@notoriousgoblin83 it depend on weight/cm² so ant are more likely to be fine, but cat (not all) can also be safe from falling (do not toss your cat trough your windows, if he's obese he'll die ), the less "heavy" you are the more likely you are to survive a fall, and (that may be obvious but hey) the wider area you cover while falling the safer you are. (hence why we use parachutes)

@Bruno Scotto F=ma Acceleration is 9.8m/s. It's all in the mass, and how the force is distributed. Air resistance helps too. For terminal velocity to be nonlethal, you need to be really scrawny
