Hey Sean! I had found my favorite setup and I could have sworn that there were no better DRT-setup than the Hitch Climber Pulley with a French prusik VT ... and then Petzl comes with a mechanical version of the same setup ... and it's brilliant and runs really smooth, safe and reliable. It works, even when the rope was covered in resin from this noble fir, which a prusik wouldn't have handle. I'm a Zigzag fan, what about you?

muy bien hecho amigo, yo también hago ese trabajo y quiero tener todo lo que tu tienes pero acá es difícil porque no se consigue todos los equipos toca importarlos y son costosos. te felicito eres muy bueno, ten cuidado, saludos desde colombia

Hi, got a pratical question. does your zigzag jam up during the job because of the resin in the wood or does it works just fine? cause my ISC d4 really starts be being a pain in the ass when my rope gets covered in resin.

Hi Robbin! Resin is so annoying!!! I have picked pine cones in Douglas trees and they were so sticky that we had to use chemical gloves. I have tried similar situations with Pelzt Id and Petzl Grillon. When the rope and the surfaces in the brake get covered in resin they become really annoying. Especially when removing slack. Resin also affects Zigzag, but the jamming becomes minor because the whole system runs on rollers. You will notice a big difference with a Zigzag! Thanks for watching - stay safe! Soren

Hi Soren exactly, very annoying I tried a friction hitch and it works kinda but is not ideal it doesn't matter which hitch you tie they will start to jam up after a while. Thanks I will have a look for that! And thanks for sharing your experience. Stay save soon! Regards Robbin

one more question brings that up in my mind, is the single only suitable for double rope or can you climb single with it as well or is than the rope wrench better?
