y both of the atomic size of group 18 &1 increase but the melting point of group 18 increase when going down the group but the melting point of group 1 decrease when going down the group

+yanzhuang00 Group 1 and group 18 are different groups, and so have different properties. Group 1 is reactive metals, whereas group 18 (also known as group 0 or group 8) contains very unreactive non-metals.
