Dillon, That attic has been quite the source! Never been into bootlegs but after watching that video, I 'm interested now. The ELO and the SLADE Nobody's Fools hit a soft spot in my heart from my earlier collecting days. Good haul for you and the store both. Love The Germs. Another stellar video coming at me. I gave you a nice shout out to Billy at River Bend about your video sound quality and to Mike at In The Groove about your success as a record store owner. I always enjoy seeing what you hunt down from the wild.

Thanks Dillon, another informative video. Always something new - so many records out there! "Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead" refers to the image on the front of the album which is taken from a UK road sign warning of roadworks ahead. The "joke" is it looks like a man struggling to open an umbrella...humour's a personal thing!

Your KZfaq Channel rocks! I buy both used and new vinyl records. I shop at 3 independently owned record stores. The nearest store is about 25 minutes from my apartment and the next one is about 40 minutes from my apartment. These 2 record stores sell both used and new vinyl records. The 3rd record store is just a little over 1 hour away from my apartment. This record store sells used records. The owners of all 3 record stores are awesome people! They know me well. I'm like a kid in a candy store when shopping for vinyl records in these 3 stores. The store owners are entertained when I get excited when I find vinyl records that I look for. It's a win--win situation for both the customers and the record store owners when we find records that we're looking for. I also buy both used and new vinyl records from Ebay. As for new records, I buy them at Walmart. As for the 2 record stores that I mentioned above, that sell both used and new, I buy both used and new records. I'm a bigtime fan of Genesis and this past Tuesday, I ordered 3 RARE Genesis import vinyl records. I ordered a RARE Bulgaria import Genesis's Abacab album. Now, in the late 70s--through the early 90s, Genesis had their stadium tours. In 1992--1993, was the band's tour The Way We Walk. Let me say this-- I do have CDS. Now, Genesis had from the tour that I just mentioned, the Walk tour. There is a 2 CD set, from that tour, that I have, Live The Way We Walk Vol. 1 The Shorts and Live The Way We Walk Vol. 2 The Longs. I do indeed, love vinyl records much better than CDS, but back in the early 90s, I couldn't find the 2 Genesis CDS, from that mentioned above tour, on vinyl record. AUGH! So, since I do shop on Ebay, I thought, to myself, "What the heck, I'll go ahead and see if maybe I'll find those 2 Genesis live CDS on vinyl record "? I was really surprised to see, that those 2 Genesis live CDS are on vinyl record! YES!!! I bought both of them--Vol. 1 The Shorts and Vol. 2 The Longs. Both of them on vinyl records. Vol. 1 an import from Brazil and Vol. 2 an import from Italy. Yes, they set back a bit, but I thought, to myself, "These vinyl records are RARE, and if I don't buy them right now, while it's doable, someone else whose a Genesis fan, will beat me to the punch and buy them." Take care! Keep spinning the vinyl!

Dear Dillon, One day when you have a few spare moments, I recommend you check out Vivian Stanshall, both solo and and in his band The Bonzo Dog Band. “We Are Normal”, and “Eleven Moustachioed Daughters” from the band’s album “The Doughnut in Granny’s Greenhouse” is a good place to start. Also solo spoken word album “Sir Henry at Rawlinson’s End” is a surreal and funny and unique experience. Love your videos, love to visit your shop one day. I’d bring you a very limited edition Faust album I have as a gift in return for all the enjoyment your channel has given me, and continues to do. All the best

Look at this link... theamazingkornyfonelabel.wordpress.com/tag/tmoq-bootleg-label/ It tells the history of TMOQ. TMOQ started doing colored vinyl in 1970 It lists all the releases. If you scroll down you’ll see 71062 - David Bowie - In America - April 1973 - pig label, colored vinyl - matrix DB - 531 That’s this release. Not to mention, I can tell when something is from the 70s, as opposed to the 90s or 2000s. Also not to mention that the guy I got them from was an old school collector that bought this stuff in the 70s and collected rare stuff till the late 80s.

A little info I found about Stone Crow on a comment on a forum; ........ A very rare album, released as a private press, was recorded in 1975 by students at the Univ. of Cal, Irvine. It was originally the sound track to a comedy performance about drugs and the search for the ideal high. One of the cast members was the son of a Capitol records stuffed suit and used his influence to get this made as a Capitol Custom press of 150 copies. Most known copies are warped to some degree or another. The music is live jam rock, featuring male and female vocals and some good Dead influenced guitar on somewhat goofy drug oriented mat'l. Not exceptional, but thoroughly entertaining nonetheless.

Fun video. Have you ever done a video on the most common albums you see at garage sales? I live near Los Angeles. For me, at garage sales in the early 2000's and 1990's the most seen albums were by...(in loose order) 1. Barbara Streisand (large Jewish community in SoCal). 2. Neil Diamond. 3. Andy Williams 4. Johnny Mathis. 5. Billy Joel. 6. Sound of Music (lots of musicals). 7. Englebert Humperdink. Anyway, lots of people from the 50's era were probably moving to old-folks homes or dying. So they were selling their albums from the Johnny Mathis era.

I bought a massive stones collection back in the mid 90s. All the original pressings mint plus had some amazing crazy splattered bootlegs vinyls also from trade mark and others ... Knew nothing about bootlegs at the time being in the UK and no real internet or way of finding out and still new to the hobby. I let them go for hardly anything to a small store as the big vinyl places didn't want touch them being technically illegal, so I thought mustn't have been worth much . Years later got more clued up and interested in bootlegs and have felt gutted since. Still waiting to find another score like that one ....

That best of Chocolate Watch band is actually pretty stellar and a good place holder. For the proper albums I have the 80s French Eva pressing for the debut and the 80s Aussie Raven Records reish for the follow up. Until I win the lotto those will have to do because I can’t shell out 3 hunny each for an original but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that some day I’ll stumble on affordable originals.

Is that really correct - TMOQ boots on splash vinyl? They were pressed in the 70s, and all the ones I've seen are on regular black vinyl. Earth and Fire just sounds like generic Dutch prog to me. First album has a little psych vibe in places.

I thought I’d like Squeeze because of the great Doug Yule fronted songs on S/T and “Loaded” but unfortunately I found it absolutely atrocious and down right hokey at times. Obviously to each their own but the best thing that ever happened to me was me missing out on eBay when I went to far on a bid on “Squeeze” but someone wanted it more and saved me from blowing dough on a record I’d of sold as fast as I could. I swear I’ve never been more disappointed. I guess I was hoping for a bunch of “Candy Says” type tunes but news flash! You need Lou and instead you get way too much piano driven Doug Yule shlock! It’s not really the Velvets is it...sorry Dylan but I gotta strongly disagree with anyone needing this other than some sort of obsessive completist impulse.

Review request: Aura Blaze - (self-titled debut album) Spotify: open.spotify.com/album/299d2AkGorMlQVQ2AAKAy1 Bandcamp: aurablaze.bandcamp.com/album/aura-blaze I would be honored and humbled to hear your honest review of my debut album. I am a one-man psychedelic rock act, handling all vocals, instruments, and production. Influences range from Ariel Pink to Tame Impala,The Doors, ELO, The Beatles, Temples, and other retro/neo-psycedelic indie rock bands, as well as the uplifting vibes of sunshine pop of the '60s and '70s. I focus heavily on the creation of atmosphere through stunning contrast (visuals, landscapes, sweeping moods, etc.) as well as texture and flowing, dreamlike layers. Intricate orchestral melodies and distorted, passionate, art rock are interwoven throughout my songs. I hope you find this album enjoyable! Thank you so much for your consideration.
