The young writer suffered a broken heart, and couldn't imagine another day of sunshine. Read about it. It’s the texture of his voice & when he sings stuff like “People this hurt” and “words could never explain” that do it for me. That’s Soul. I can remember when you could hear someone talk & 9 times out of 10 they could sing with Soul. Those days are over…
The young artists pf today should strive to emulate the great sound of the soulful masters of the past. Great music, great lyrics, and ZERO disrespect toward others, especially our women. I'm so happy to have grown up with music like this.

David roughness in his singing, along with being able to slide right into a smooth tenner was miraculous, and his articulation was always on point you knew every single word he was singing, and that is an art and itself Cooters to David in heaven so glad I got to meet you
