Lyes defending salah what a time to be alive

I enjoy watching Salah play, but even if i didn`t nobody can deny him being world class. and he is definetly in the conversation for being the best winger to ever play in the PL, and he is a lock for the RW spot in my opinion in the all time PL 11.

I don't get why people say salah isn't good to watch. It can only be ptsd from having him rip their team apart. Let me tell you watching him during that 7-0 was very entertaining to watch. He's not always flashy but some of his passes, finishes, even dribbles are glorious. The way he's treated reminds me of how, say, some Ronaldo fans treat Messi, constantly shifting the goalposts to find something to criticise him for because he's so good that it's hard to dismiss him anymore. I know what you said about comparing him to Messi but I'll (kinda) do it anyway.

Tom Garratt is the sole reason why I stopped watching Pitchside. Before him, Pitchside was a cozy football podcast, and the watchalongs too. Sure Theo and Reev had questionable takes, but most of them were done in humour or humourously and this made the bad takes bearable too. Tom is just arrogant with his bad takes and doubles down on them as if it's the absolute truth, which makes the pod insufferable on his bad days.

How could you watch Salah during the first half of the 2021/22 season where was dribbling against the whole defense basically and still think he's boring? Even now, he's pulling out incredible passes on top of everything else.

I don't enjoy him play but his world class

Football KZfaq has really taken a nosedive this year. The amount of bad takes/videos are upsetting. Podcasts have become so poor and repetitive 😔. I feel people argue for the sake of arguing which leads to “heated debate”. Terrible. BTW I am not including “the eye test” cuz I genuinely think that cams and lyes are simply better in presenting a point followed by evidence (except for the ten hag emo rants). The same applies for FCM and SDS. The rest of the podcasts will simply take ideas and topics from big platforms like sky sports, listen to the debates over there, and recycle similar points (which makes me always say “Hmm… why do I feel like I heard this point before). Anyways, I am writing this because the video lyes was reacting to got me thinking that I really try to avoid these type of content creators because I know what I am going to get and they never fail to disappoint especially that Rory Jennings guy (i guess all it takes to be a football KZfaqr is good speech and wordplay). Yeah Whatever.

One thing I will say, when hazard and salah played in the same league no one said salah was better, hazard was still considered the best

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but it's laughable people don't understand what Salah offers apart from G/a's and dribbling. His passing and movement are so far beyond any other player in the league but people who don't understand football won't notice these things.

Underrated players quickly become overrated Players like Giroud and Benzema were slightly underrated for years. All of a sudden everyone spends 6 months screaming about how underrated they are, becomes a trend

Salah is a great player but he's definitely overated especially when he gets into conversations like Hazard and Neymar or Suarez...even Bale is better....Salah at most is on the same level as Mbappe thats it

I have other wingers over salah but tbh i dont how anyone couldnt at least enjoy salahs 1st season where his pace was electric.

I’m a Liverpool fan and for the last 2 seasons I haven’t enjoyed watching salah play. He’s not been his usual self that takes on players or moves to try and get the ball. Now he waits for the ball to come to him and either makes a weird pass that occasionally works out and is incredible or he is too slow and his shots and passes are blocked. Great player but he has lost that enjoyment. And I can’t complain with what he has done for the club and the numbers he puts up but I’m putting it out there that Tom isn’t totally wrong

I dont see why anyone would have an issue with what tom is saying? Man city are the ebst team in the world by a mile but my god they are boring to watch. Id rather watch luton who are more exciting than watch man city, doesnt mean i think luton are better than them. Id personallly rather watch someone like neto or garnacho who are way more exciting than someone like salah. That doesnt mean i think salah is bad because hes quite clearly top 3 best right wingers in the world but to me he just doesnt play in an exciting way.

Salah will ghost for 90 mins, score a tap in and a penalty, and people will call him the best prem winger of all time. If you just watch him play, the guy is often missing from the game completely, but stat shaggers will see that he scored a goal and will automatically call him the best, somehow better than wingers like man utd Ronaldo or Hazard, who both influenced games, especially Hazard who dragged his team and was involved in everything.
