An old friend of mine used to play this frequently in the car with another friend of ours. The three of us were really good friends until the two fought and eventually separated and now we're all grown up and lost in our own way. Now that I listen to it it reminds me of the good old times but it also makes me sad knowing that there's truly nobody here..

so i did some snooping around, this song is from an album/audio-visual experiment called memory vague by a man named Oneohtrix Point Never who released the album as a limited edition DVD-R and wanted to see what effects the songs would have on it's listeners. this was in june 1st, 2009, aka before vaporwave was a thing. Imagine, you make an experimental song for no reason other than for the fun of it, and suddenly people like this style so much that it became a whole genre.

I didn’t realize until recently that the same creator of this video is the same person who runs Oneothrix Point Never. He truly one of most important musicians of the 21th century so far. He basically started Vaporwave and not mentioning he’s other albums like Replica is the best plunder-phonics album created.

Im so glad i found this video. It might just be in my mind forever. Summer of '23 i finally got my first job (after getting rejected many times) and i remember those long shifts and the friends i made there that i probably wont ever speak to again, but after this one shift our ac had broken in my house so my sister had lent my Mom a window ac unit, so my brother, my Mom and I all slept downstairs. And that night finding this video, felt like every given second of that night spent watching old cartoons and random free channels while everyone else was dead asleep was special, like that feeling would never be found again.

Holy shit I never have loved Vaporwave so much before... I thought synthwave was the only nostalgia type genre like this!

When I was 6/7/8 years old I used to love going to the dentist. I would have to go frequently because SUGAR. My dentist loved to crank the gas up to make his patients shut up and stop squirming, and I would get him to crank it up even more by complaining that it wasn't working. A seven year old brain on that much Nitrous Oxide produces interesting effects. I remember having a few out-of-body type experiences. The pop hits playing through the single tinny speaker in the ceiling created these spinning 80s/90s pop music auditory hallucinations: an experience that can only be described as being INSIDE of a Phil Collins song. Then always on the way home, waiting for the novocaine to wear off, I'd ineffectively attempt to eat a Wendy's chocolate Frosty (because we got Wendy's coupons in our dental hygiene goody bags). I've been procrastinating on going to bed for the past half-hour. I'm currently nearing the end of my online classes - three more lessons and an exam and I'm through. I got a job working for the city with cleaning up parks. Orientation is in a week tomorrow, and I start at the end of the month. I've been spending more and more of my free time lately drafting plans for how me and my siblings are going to get ourselves to Ottawa at the start of August. I guess I just like making plans.
