That’s what the law says is the maximum that can be imposed. There’s no scale of fines to wealth, or previous job descriptions. The judge can arbitrarily impose a larger amount of fine just because trump has pockets other than his that he can delve into to pay them. Biden hasn’t done anything good. Bidumb and his big-spender allies in Congress ran up multitrillion-dollar tabs with no way to pay, so the Federal Reserve just created the money to finance it all. That sparked 40-year-high inflation, which was followed by the fastest interest rate hikes in just as long. Someone needs to tell the walking corpse that money doesn’t grow on trees.

The simple, and proper, solution, is for Judge Merchan to lock him up for thirty days for each contempt of court. IF he's found guilty, he should be imprisoned for the maximum amount of time. Nor should bail be granted for his inevitable appeal. Let him sit in prison, for his appeal, like any other prisoner.
