I believe Washington would wait until a week in training camp pans out to see if he is even needed. Jayden Daniels will allow some unexpected WRs on the current team to have a breakout season. I don't think we need him.

I think Aiyuk is a bigger piece than people give credit for. He would instantly make Wash WR room top of division, but he is the best blocking WR in NFL, so not just WR room gets better, he helps RBs, TEs, and JD. Get Bakhtiari, and Gilmore to boot(financially possible). We would instantly be a post season contender. We need him MUCH more than people are admitting. Give Dotson or Brown plus 2025 2nd rounder. Trade Allen or Payne for a 2025 2nd to recoup and use that $ savings toward Aiyuk. Restructure a few others to free up $$$ for insurance. Lets start JD year 1 as an unknown team, year 2 they will already know what we represent. Do it now.

I do too. But to be fair, EB's offense was horrible. Too unnecessarily complex. Perhaps while we don't have the best oline, they may not be the worst. Eb didnt know how to use our pieces correctly

You will have veterans cut due to $$$ issues, cuts etc. They added two pieces and we all KNEW that they would need several years to improve this team, I am willing to trust in them for now, the draft and the off season hiring's have me hoping we wont be that automatic W on everyone's schedule.

With the receivers we already have, Aiyuk may disrupt the chemistry. With McLaurin, Dotsun, McCaferry, Brown, and Crowder. There is only one ball to pass around. As good as Aiyuk is, he's going to expect and demand more balls sent his way. That will be a problem. The OL needs more attention. We need better pass protection and run blocking protection. Linemen that can pancake defensive players. Not Linemen who get pancaked.

The defense and offense are going to play great. It was said if players don't play to their potential it's the coaches not coaching. Every player already bought into the Dan Quinn philosophy. Players are having fun and are excited Johnathan Alan said last year it was not a good feeling going into practice and playing on game day.

Okay , why on earth would we give up Scary Terry for Aiyuk??? Its not as if one guy is 32 & the other is 26. They are 2 yrs apart. Plus, the 49'ers have to get rid of him or pay that $14 million. Im sure Luke McCaffrey would love to play with his brother.

This makes to much sense to do, one of the best recievers in the game and he wants to play with our rookie QB who he has a history and comfortable with , Caleb has all them weapons for him to succeed on offense why not us?? Terry is our solid receiver, jahan is good but this year he has to prove it i like him in the slot better anyways we needa get this deal done asap ,

I feel the same way about Jahan. I feel like he’s better suited in the slot, and they’re gonna put Luke McCaffery as the number two receiver. We probably got two receivers of 6ft. We have no jump ball receivers, we need a lineman more than anything honestly 💯.

Would it be great to have Aiyuk? Sure. He’s one of the best in the NFL, and would be a huge acquisition. Is it likely? No way. First, San Fran has nothing to gain by trading their #1 receiver, while they pursue a legitimate Super Bowl run in 2024 which would be impacted by the trade. So the offer would have to be a ridiculous offer they couldn’t refuse, for them to even consider it. And Adam Peters isn’t the type of GM to make ridiculous offers. The salary issue isn’t the concern, but combined with the type of draft capital the 49ers would demand, makes the potential for a deal not a smart deal for Washington, while a favorable deal for Washington would be a nonstarter for them. Nice to dream … but that’s all this is … a pipe dream.

Ive watched every top team supply their guys with weapons every offseason.. why not let Jayden start his career with one of his best targets he's had in his football career, plus Terry approaching 30.. I know the Eagles would sign him if they could.. Its a new day, time to make a move

Everybody who is in their 20's is approaching 30. They are only 2 year apart for christ sake. They only came out of college 1 year apart. Age is a wash. Terry has been more productive AND RELAIABLE

Terry is one my all time fav Skins/Commanders player ever and I hope this year is the year he can really stamp he's a Top 10 WR.. but Aiyuk last season totals were more productive than any season Terry has had and he only caught 75 balls.. I know QB play has a big thing to do with that, just saying adding your #2 pick fav target to what we have now and pairing him next to Terry would be ELITE.. Jayden literally just put on a masterclass with Brian Thomas and Nabers..

If Washington could strip San Fran's future GM, they could sign Aiyuk. The question is more if they choose to sign him. They might not think his contract fits into this stage of the team's evolution. If they trade for Aiuk they should trade no higher than a 4th round pick and Jahan Dotson. If need be, throw in Emmanuel Forbes with Dotson and don't give up draft picks. Let's leave cap room for David Baktiari.
