Wow! As a beginner, I wish I had access to waves like these! Nice rollers, calm Ocean, hardly any white water or chop to be seen, warm water, looks like Paradise!

@@droneshots6192 Yes still a beginner. No haven't had access to waves like these. Began learning at Rockaway Beach and Long Beach (NYC/Long Island). I also once went to Paskowitz Surf Camp in San Diego for a week long camp and had a blast! Would really love to get more time in the water and get better at duck diving, paddling and nailing the pop up timing to actually catch the wave. Closest I came to waves like these was a calm mellow day South of Lahaina while visiting Maui.

These are the sessions that make life worth living. 3-4 foot, 6 foot set waves, nice long periods, warm weather, and a handful of peaople out there all vibing. Throw in my favourite twin fin and a beer back on the beach and I am in absolute heaven!

Beautiful place, beautiful people, and wow - there's an actual PATH to the keyhole! I remember cutting my feet walking out there in 1991 on my first tropical surf trip, staying in a losmen right in front of Indicators, drinking too much Drum whisky, living off nasi goreng and porridge with Milo, and going home with a 2 inch gash in the back of my head. Ahh - the memories.

I remember surfing one of my favorite spots in Mexico and there was a couple out with us in their 70's. They lived in New Zealand during their summer and had a place in Mexico for our summer. The woman had the spot wired!!! I started taking to her and she was the coolest chick I ever met, totally chill and pointed out some spots to help triangulate your position as the tide changed. We (everyone out there) had an amazing session!

Watching this has a kind of meditational impact on me. It also shows me how easy I can be pulled away from the essence of something just by added music. Thank you for this wonderful work. Listen to the nature with headphones makes it even stronger.

thank you for visiting Nias. I suggest it is better to surf on Nias during the full moon or December, where the waves are higher and challenging.

Nias and ulu are my dream waves. Here it's 31 dg out, the waters 47 and the winds blowing sideshore at 30 mph with no swell. Oh and I gotta go to work.

i am so sad..as.indonesian,i have not been in nias for entire life.. may be after my surf practice in kuta bali is enough n i have average surf skill..i will be go to nias..😀😁

Memories of the good old days (nearly fifty years ago now) when there would be just six people working a break. Crowds were one of the biggest reasons l gave it away.

People hate to hear about it. But we were going to Indonesia almost 40 years ago. Would have to hike into Uluwatu and Bingin. No road. Hand full of guys. Surfed bingin all the time with 2 or 3 others. Would do 9 day boat trips to desert point, super suck , scars and see no other surfers. Nusa lembongan was beautiful with just some huts up in front of shipwrecks. .Wouldn't see any other surfers for days some times. Now its covered in hotels and plastic bottles. Even scored macaronis in the Mentawais for 8 days with nobody around. Places have now gone nuts. But still uncrowded waves to be had if you hunt around.
