I actually think everyone is missing what he has been saying and I think people hear and see the passion but don't listen to him. This is a guy who clearly had natural talent and what it looks like is he was probably THAT GUY and used to be treated as such until coming across some people who wanted to humble, very similarly to the people around him now and on the internet. Whenever someone gives an opinion it's just that, its not anyones job to humble him. Sadly it does look as if people have constantly tried to humble him thus creating someone who feels unheard and who lashes out to feel seen and heard. Look at what triggers him and listen to the words he uses. This is someone who is clearly feeling small and belittled constantly. Why do you think his physical arms are so big for no reason. It's a way of not feeling so small on the outside.

Facts you look at his numbers and they’re not spectacular but he was clearly talented enough to contribute. His second to last season he was averaging damn near 15 a game. His last season he averaged 10 on 24 min. With some good intangibles that should get you a roster spot

@@apprentessjgooden2263 because hes a "co host" on a pod cast he "made it"? You legit think the show wont survive if Rashads not on it anymore? He made 5m usd pre tax in 3 seasons, and that was 16 years ago, how much of that money do you think he still has in 2023? Rashad won the NCAA with his team in 04/05 season, got drafted in 2005 as the 14th pick as a 21yr old and was out of the leageau 3 years later and made 5m in that sting, PRE TAXES. Marvin Williams was also in his NCAA championship team, he also got drafted in 2005, a number 2 pick had a 15 season career and made 122m. Another teammate, Raydmond Felton 5th pick, in the same draft, 14 season career and made 53m. And there is one more, Sean May 13th pick played 4/5 seasons in the Leaguea, and made 8.7m in nba salaries, but he had a major knee injury in 2007. And he still played 4 seasons overseas after being out of the leaguea. but yeah if making 5m usd pre tax 16 years ago is by your standards "making it" yeah sure... what he display on gils arena is the exact reason why he got bounced at a 24 yr old and not getting any more chances. his mindset is still being that ncaa champ he was as a 21 yr old, "im a champion" "they open the doors for me" "i was guaranteed a spot". hes not open to other opinions and is dumb as fuck, always trying to be right, always trying to win the debate while most of the cases he has zero ground to stand on. I have no idea how good he was as a hooper, but i know for a fact hes not a generational talent who cant be replaced easily. there are only 450 spots in the nba, 2007 the world population was 6.7billion (yeah obv a lot of them dont play ball, i get that) if you are just mediocore and you dont know how to be a "professional" and dont have the "networks" your ass is bounced fast and thats what happened. Its the NBA, the next guy who wants your spot is right on the corner.

Just finding this interview. It’s crazy the fine line between being an NBA player and not. So many guys work hard and don’t make it. It’s guys like Beverly who are just talented enough and bust their absolute ass day in and out is that line. McCants never stood a chance due to work ethic, and that’s why he’s emotional-he realized it too late.

Clearly he wasn't promised the spot either because he didn't get it or at least it wasn't guaranteed, then he goes on to say at the end they wanted to see footage of him playing overseas. The guy lives in a bubble😂This is what happens when deep down you believe you had the potential which maybe he did but you know you didn't fulfil it and now you feel like you have to argue and defend why you were really what you never were lol
