Hi Noe. This is one of the best instructional video series I've seen. Not only do you capture the techniques and approach very clearly on video but you demonstrate good workshop practice along the way. I'm so glad I found this as it is serving as a great source of information as I start my first neck-through bass build. You are obviously a great craftsman.

What is the purpose/function of the black veneer? It seems very thin, almost like paper.
