I remember Oasis from the 90’s, but I paid little attention. They didn’t get much air play here in the US. I re-discovered them 2 months ago. They’re all I can listen to now. They’re amazing. I discovered this video a week ago. I’ve listened to it 100 times. My God...this song is genius. This guy’s talent is off the fucking charts. A living musical genius - yet almost everything on the radio is crap. So many years - so much talent - such a tiny Island.

I`m so glad i got to see oasis at the height of there fame Saturday 3rd of August 1996 loch Lomond even the support bands were great cast,manic street preachers,black grape,heavy stereo summer of 96 was a great time in my life never to be forgotten :)

To say that this song is the peak of Noel Gallagher's writing career would be a bold statement, given his repatoire of top tracks. But I just feel that the lyrics in this song are so beautiful, and he sings them with such conviction, that it rises just that little higher than any of his others. Even the looks Gem gives him near the end of the song just seem to say "Fuck me, what a tune!"
