But that short morning stream was actually what people need in the morning. It's short enough to be considered as a long clip. And people who usually don't have time to watch long stream (like me) can still join in. For me personally, AsaCoco was the reason of why I'm still here now. Around that time, I was in my darkest moment. Problems came daily and I felt so tired of life. But this 20 minutes stream that I just curiously click after her debut keep making my day a tiny bit brighter. Her "okite okite okite!" raised my spirit in the morning. Her silly news made me genunely laughed even tho I was so depressed. I questioned life everyday, but there was this certain time in a day where I could stop and think "Oh, it's AsaCoco time!" Now... Well, I can't say that I'm healed yet. My depression and anxiety is still here. But at least it's not as bad as in my dark days. I can't imagine what would happen to me if Coco graduated during that time...

Filian debuted after Coco's debut AND graduation. Dokibird wasn't active this much back then. Only ironmouse and shylily are exceptions.

i was nodding and agreeing to what you've commented but then i read the second part... like what?? do you know who really was pulling in new fans into holo? do you know who's clips went viral the most? how holo got big was a collection of things... covid, clips getting viral and the talented individuals that are in hololive... not just a single person... coco is a legend, that is true, she did a lot of things, pioneered a lot of things... but that is true as well for other hololive members... with how much creativity hololive talents have, through out the years even after coco you see so many things they put up out there that just wows and entertains people... i would say, even without coco hololive would be as big as they are now because of the talents that they have... i love coco, she was my oshi... but let's not make up things to make her look good... because what she actually did was already legendary, making a narrative out of nothing would just tarnish that...

But there are also other vtubers who are loved and have built the vtuber community, especially in the west, such as Gura, Filian, Shylily, Fuwamoco, Ironmouse and Dokibird.

@@HumbertoValenzuela-qf2us More respect on her name is needed, the community wouldnt have existed in the west without Coco, she was literally the individual that pave the path for every single vtubers with the massive induction of western fan that she brought in. They scatter and found someone else when she left which is how these western vtubers managed to get a jumpstart on their career. With her second persona, she's doing pretty well, she got into a yakuza game which was one of her main goal she doesn't even need to be successful as she probably already made enough to retire.

@@erastal It reminds me of those who came even before Coco, like Kizuna AI, Siro, Mirai Akari and Kaguya Luna. They all had such a huge impact in the early days of vtubing. At least HimeHina and Siro are still active in the scene, thankfully.

The alternative was illegally firing Kiryu Coco at the height of her popularity and Niji-ing themselves.

That's why I'm glad we're finally past the two solid years of the English fanbase censoring nearly every mention of Coco's name as a joke. Coco spent a month prior to her graduation saying she didn't want people doing that to her.

I know exactly what you mean. Her streams just felt different. She had such a peculiar humor about her that literally no other vtuber has matched since. The restrictions she faced as Coco made her produce some of the greatest moments in vtuber history. It’s such a shame that now that she has the freedom she wanted, she’s become just another twitch streamer, which is as uninspired and unremarkable as you can get as a content creator.

Noel was fed up with some audiences still referring to Rushia because of her plushie in the background. But since it would take a lot of time to redraw the background, I recognize that she hid that with a microphone during that time

not sure why you felt the need to post here, Noel's talking about Coco's contributions to Hololive specifically. And with regards to the "connection between the eastern and western sides", there is no one who did a better job than she did. Who are you to decide what's "enough" for her to contribute? Not even the names you mentioned would feel the need to insert themselves into a conversation about Coco's contributions to the vtuber community.
