Niall Telford it actually was an accident in a sense. Japanese women saw the tan beauties of California and wanted to emulate their style and look, so they began to tan themselves. Japanese tans look a bit different than European tans. Many girls also wanted to achieve this look without actually tanning, hence the dark makeup. The ones who have severely dark makeup are under the yamanba genre, which is "mountain witch". Only Westerners see it as "blackface".

One time I had this buffing thing that took hair off and I used it once when I was going out. I'm Irish/Mexican. I was going on a date with an Asian boy and was nervous about being hairy. I never ever did it again. Sometimes when we are going through a hard time we do stupid things like buff some fuzz off your forearms or tweeze your eyebrows too thin. It's hard. Lol

Quick comment, I don't shave during the winter. Why should I? Nobody's gonna see my pits or my legs, I'm covering up, too goddamn cold. I need my fur coat, thank you. And I've only shaved my arms once and it was way too fucking itchy, I hated it. Basically, shaving is a waste of time, money, and effort unless I'm actually trying to show off.

Wireless lav mic, input to one channel and in editing lower the levels on the ambient…wind screen might help with reverb too. But wireless lavs are expensive.
