I just wish it hadn't censored the Cell Jr deaths In the anime he was popping them and removing heads, limbs, etc. Damnable Japanese censorship laws. At least we got One Armed Future Gohan though

@@Kevingv08well in super it explained that they regenerated and quickly fleed the scene when nobody noticed and many year latter they ended up on 17 island and once discovered they where tamed by the man himself to not attack anybody wearing his uniforme and gard the animals when he isnt here in echange of letting them alive

Best animation goes to Kakarot, but the most accurate to the meaning and reason behind Gohan's anger is most captured in Burst Limit. You see that Android 16 was not just all about killing Goku. He loved life and Gohan believed in that. He became angry because someone who gave everything to protect life.

Xenoverse 2 artstyle is very ugly to me. The characters look way too oversaturated to the point where they almost look like they were dipped in oil. It's a good game, though, but some of the character models look very bad in comparison to fighterz, raging blast & kakorot.

I think that line respresents his inhibitions being cut away. Gohan isnt cut out for violence so he really needs that. I hope this beast form has a mental effect on him that it block his "I am a pacifist" persona out, atleast enough for him to be able to throw a good punch without holding back.

I wouldn't be surprised if FighterZ still looks better art style wise then even Tenkaichi 4. Being 2D fighter rather than a 3D open world combat game just allowed the visuals in that game to be unreal. As for which animation and scene is the best it's hard to say, there were a few good ones in here. BTW debuted in FighterZ, and came over to Xenoverse 2 then cameo'd in Super Hero as Vomi. Anyone else fully expecting Android 21 to also be in Tenkaichi 4? I'd honestly be shocked if she isn't at this point.

Budokai looked so good for it's time. I also think it was the last time that they actually depicted the more brutal parts like the hole in Gokus chest from the special beam cannon or Gohan tearing the Cell Juniors apart. Of course Kakarot looks by far the best. But I kinda hate how... sterile Dragonball has become lately. Both the games and especially Dragonball Super, they removed any weight and injury, it's just kinda people punching other people and sometimes clothes get a little damaged.

yeah, after becoming an adult and learning alot about anatomy, and getting into all sorts of realistic fighting media since DB I get a little annoyed sometimes with how basic the fighting/moves are tbh lol it really does just feel alot like smacking each other over and over

@@renoo2003 That's because it IS a 3D engine. That said, the level of quality it has AMAZING, and I really enjoyed it. People who pretend that somehow it is CG it is less enjoyable or not as visually stunning. Like handdrawn stuff can look that good whilst still having that authentic handdrawn low FPS, but it's a LOT more effort. And in cases like Into the SpiderVerse, it would have been unprofitable to do ALL those effects by hand. Like the film would NOT have been made if CG wasn't involved. CGI handdrawn look is getting there. Heck FighterZ feels like a handdrawn game sometimes.

I do love how it was 16 who initially pushed Gohan to break through his limits because they where both cut from the same cloth. while he was programed to kill Goku ,16 saw there was more to life then senseless killing or fighting for the sake of the fight. He saw there where things worth fighting to protect and it was just what Gohan needed.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the various subtle details the writers put into dragon ball. For example. I think Gohan’s ascension during his fight against Cell was significant for a multitude of reasons. Imagine how proud Goku must’ve felt not just as a father but a SAIYAN father to be the first one to realize just how strong Gohan was really was while in the time chamber. There’s a flashback Goku has of him and Gohan’s training in the time chamber. He wanted to call it a day because he and Gohan had been sparring for 20 hours straight. Gohan was so tired he couldn’t even stand. Just as Goku turned around to walk away, we see a familiar bright yellow aura appear behind him, only for him to turn around and see Gohan standing again, now with electricity violently erupting from him. He wasn’t even conscious at this point. They zoom in on Gohan’s face and we see him with that same confident smirk and that same look in his eyes that we’d later see in his potential unleashed form. It’s at this point Goku witnesses Gohan ascend to SSJ2 for the first time just before he finally passes out. Gohan literally didn’t know his own strength but his father did. Also did you realize that the tactic Cell used to prey on Vegeta’s saiyan desire for a powerful opponent and let him absorb 18 was the very same tactic that Goku used on Cell’s same saiyan genes that want a powerful opponent to ultimately bring about his defeat at the hands of Gohan? Say what you want but if you ask me I think Goku is a great father. He didn’t leave his family to go train. He died saving his son’s life. Twice.

Surprising things for me were how good burst limit looks when auras kick in and how anticlimactic fighterz SSJ2 transformation was, I'm so used to fighterz always being the best in these sort of comparison videos that I was shocked by how meh it was. That xv2 cutscenes at the end of the video was 🔥🔥🔥

the problem is the pacing, its way too fast, I get it, its meant to be an intro and not a real cutscene but its still an underwhelming imitation regardless. Alot of the dramatic finishes arent much better either. The style is on point, but its just too rushed.

What makes it sadder is that 16 actually had feeling and loved nature. 99% of androids are programmed to something specific and it's usually evil. Like 17 & 18 did what they want but it wasn't for a good cause. 16s' was (obviously this was after he was done trying to kill Goku). I loved this scene in the game and in the show😭

So like Xenoverse 2 has to have one of if not the best post launch non MMO game dev periods of all time right? Like its been 8 years and they've been pumping out DLC, the high tier animations for new story, tons of new characters, new moves, new transformations, the whole shebang. Easily the most worked on Dragonball game in the franchises history I genuinely can't quite imagine how much farther an XV3 could be Though there are some obvious bonuses we'd probably want from one Master Roshi, original Dragonball characters/enemies maybe, more movie/filler villains, more maps, more transformations (it feels like a cross race one that allows your character to buff out like Full Power Freeza or Powered Up Roshi, SSJ grade 3 (Ultra Saiyan; whatever you wanna call it lol) would be a real dead on one, allow Nameks and Buus to get a little bigger and buffer too in that form like Supreme Kai absorbed Buu) Fucking great though And this scene is definitely one that all the games like to call to since Cell and Preteen Gohan were way popular in the West (apparently not so much back in Japan; don't know why but to each their own)
