This is the one of the mixes for the 1987 remake of the Secession classic from 3 years earlier, Released primarily for US consumption, it was however also released in Canada and the Netherlands.

93Q and 104.1 KRBE played it on the radio and clubs like Club 6400, The Ocean Club, DV8, Detour (D2R), Bayou Mama’s and even The Roxy played this track at one time or another.

Club 6400, Detour, Xcess, Lizard Lounge, Bayou Mamas, The Roxy. Yep! …that was Houston, Texas in the 1980s and 90s.

This is a song and mix that I have searched for high and low FOR YEARS after loosing my cassette version and has always stuck in my mind because it brings back so many memories of friendships I made in a strange state (Texas) to me and also that it’s a killer song! Gave me chills and tears of joy and happiness LITERALLY to hear it again! Thanks for uploading!❤️❤️❤️

I am from Texas originally and remember this song getting major club play in Austin! I used to have the 12" vinyl, but somehow lost it years ago.

I met the band standing on line in Tower Records in NYC. The girl keyboard player tried to pick me up, but I was DJing in the Bronx that night and had to leave! LOL

Seccession is one of the best single album bands ever to exit. Whatever happened to them???? I've been asking this for YEARS? QUE? Quierro es? lol My Spanish is terrible. Is this Boy George singing?

Secession disbanded shortly after of the release of their full length album sometime in 1987. Sadly in 2001 the lead singer and songwriter Peter Thomson passed away. Noho - Touch is often confused as a Secession remake of their classic 1984 hit under a pseudonym but it is in fact a cover version by different musicians and not Secession.

@@DJPR3P I like the original better. I picked up the record in the Village back when it came out and mixed it with New Order The Beach in my mixes.
