Thank you for the video. Solved my issue with noise by adjusting the blade of the fan closer to the motor to prevent all the vibration.

If the fan motor bearings were seizing up, wouldn't the amperage draw of the motor be higher?

Great detective work. 😃 Nice job getting rid of rattling from the cage times. Something else was buzzing when you pulled the cut off switch. Are you saying try to match the blue side of gauge to the temperature on the thermostat?

You want to next time get oem motor for carrier brands. These generic motors are to strong and will rattle whole house. Also, if fan is pushing from the side, I would get new blade with motor.

If the blade is balanced you don’t need a new one.

The none oem brand is much stronger. Definitely makes more noise.

It took you seven minutes of video to decide, "o yea i'll change the motor", we w/ common sense knew that when rounded the corner after saying it's fifteen years old and never maintained. yes change capacitor too!

Bud @2:35 & @33:45 it's the same loud sound, except the 2nd time it was louder bc of the cage, as you noted. Does she need a compressor? Why act like it was better? Maybe I'm missing something.

no, you're right, this guy spent WAY too long diagnosing and replacing shit that had nothing to do with the root cause. he actively made it worse.

Don't hate on me because I'm a layman and self taught but a motor going bad would draw more amps not less. I think you just replaced the motor that did not need to be replaced, furthermore a few drops of oil on the shaft of that motor would make it last many more years. If you look on KZfaq for keywords like "yes you can oil an air conditioner" motor, you'll find my own video where my original motor still is going on and on and on just for a few drops of oil. Otherwise, I like your video and detail that you give the viewer.
