Yesterday morning at 1115 hrs local time, two of the four B-1B Lancers stationed at RAF Fairford on a Bomber Task Force deployment headed home to Dyess Air Force base in Texas.
The November sun decided to make an appearance and showed these magnificent beasts off in all their glory as they departed with their four afterburning engines lit.
With the new B-21 Raider making its first publicly known flight yesterday as well, one begins to wonder how many more years the B-1 Lancer will grace the skies. We were blessed with two deployments at Fairford this year, but hopefully the latter won't be the last.
Head to 0:40 for the noise!
