This phone was genuinely legendary, and for good reason! Best I had before getting my first iPhone in 2010.

My first phone was the sony ericsson w580i. I loved it and it is one of the phones I remember with pleasure, the other one that I enjoyed a lot was the Sony Xperia ZL, I started to take photos with that and now photography is one of the most important things in my life. I miss sony

When I'm in public, I take out my old Nokia to contemplate the reactions of humanoids near me. When I do this, I make sure people around feel pain. I bring out the phone like a huge pistol, launch snake game with volume pumped to level 5. When people hear the 1999 sound, something in them breaks. One time, a kid dressed in Disney approved apparel stopped playing on his iFone and gave me a WTF stare when I decided to check whether somebody had tried to do the unthinkable a.k.a call me. The boy's jaw dropped. He couldn’t move his eyes away from the ancient gadget in front of him. The look on his face was priceless, and if I didn't know he was just a stupid, spoiled kid, I'd have thought he was thinking intensely about the meaning of life. He felt bad for me as if I were sick and about to die. ''How can this person use such an old phone? That must be worse than cancer,'' was thinking the little iOs gangsta. 'Daddy, daddy, look! Is this a dinosaur approved phone? Daddy, please, don't ever make me use this phone. I will do my homework with extra precision from now on,'

Funny that this came up when I was actually searching for a new feature phone lol. interesting review :-) As an oldie I grew up with these types of phones but somewhere down the road I got sucked into the smart phone world. Smartphone are great tools time waster, and I do love my iphone and pixel (work and home phones) but the key thing is that they suck at being phones for making and receiving phone calls. It always feels like making a traditional call over a Cell and not 4G internet is an after thought. I've started seeing reinvented feature phones that support 4g hot spots and they've got me thinking. Can I ditch my smart phone as an always on device and move to using only on wifi or hotspots?. The though my daily driver phone will not need charging for weeks , is small and pretty indestructible and Important people can still get me by calling or texting if necessary is really appealing. If I can then use it as a 4g hotspot for my ipad/laptop/smartphone when needed that would achieve most of my use cases. I'd never need to worry about not having battery at the end of the night etc.

You forgot, with physical buttons you can type perfectly with eyes close.

Mildly water resistant is an understatement. All our old nokia phones went in the washer at some point in their lifetime. Open it up. Let it dry on a radiator or just a dry surface like a towel for a day and it worked just fine. One of them even got dropped in a lake for a week. Got back to life, no problemo.

I once had an iPod Classic, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and an iPhone 4S back in the day as a youngin. And, after that, a whole slew of Android and Google phones. Upgraded from all that to an iPhone 14 Pro? Heck. To the yeah. This phone is a total throwback for me, man. I started my smartphone life like that, after landlines, bar phones like that Nokia 3310, and flip phones like the LG Classic. Lol. Nostalgia!
